August 19: Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time has been delayed for a second time. It was most recently planned for October 10, but a 2025 launch is now very likely.

On its website, Level-5 said it has “decided to change the release date”. The company did not explain why another delay is happening, but regardless, extra time is needed.

Super Mario Party Jamboree overview

September 23: The countdown is on for Super Mario Party Jamboree, and Nintendo is offering a lengthy look at the game with a new overview trailer. Currently the video is only available in Japanese, but an English version should follow soon and we’ll update you when it’s live.

2DS XL Famicom Super Famicom mini repairs ending

Nintendo announced today that repairs for the 2DS XL, Famicom Mini, and Super Famicom Mini are coming to an end in Japan.

An exact end date wasn’t provided. However, that’s because it all comes down to how long spare parts are available. Once Nintendo runs out of stock, that’ll be it for repairs. Devices will no longer be accepted once those parts are used up.


Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending September 21, 2024 is now available.

Once again, it’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe that’s the top Nintendo-exclusive. The game did actually rise a few spots – it’s now at #3 after coming in at #8 previously. Also, we’ll mention that the physical release of Balatro lands at #19.

Cricket Jae's Really Peculiar Game gameplay

Now that Cricket: Jae’s Really Peculiar Game has been released, we’re able to get a closer look at the title on Switch with gameplay. Just over a half hour of footage is available.

Miwa Kasumi Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash

Miwa Kasumi has been revealed as a new playable character for Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash. Best of all, she’ll be added to the roster via an update – meaning you won’t have to pay for DLC.

This will be the third major update for the game. Outside of Miwa Kasumi, Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash is adding a new Arcade Mode and more.

Unicorn Overlord sales

Atlus and Vanillaware just announced the latest milestone for Unicorn Overlord. Since launch, the game has sold over one million copies. That applies to combined sales for all platforms worldwide.

In celebration of today’s news, Vanillaware’s Takashi Noma drew a special image that we’ve attached above. It features Berengaria, Melisandre, and Rosalinde.

Murder Is Game Over Deal Killer

Ratalaika Games and HitherYon Games are teaming up for a new Switch version of Murder Is Game Over: Deal Killer, the two sides announced today. The title will be made available for Nintendo’s console on September 27, 2024.

Murder Is Game Over: Deal Killer is a detective game in which players work with their dog to investigate a murder mystery.

Nintendo wireless device FCC

Fans have come across a new Nintendo wireless device that was filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This was put into the records over the weekend, but there’s not much to go on currently.

Right now the filing points out that the device has the CLO-001 model number. However, this indicated that it’s something entirely new –  Switch used HAC-001 for instance while DS was NTR-001.


Sonic Central 2025

A new Sonic Central presentation will air tomorrow, September 24, SEGA just announced. The event begins at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM in the UK / 6 PM in Europe.

During Sonic Central, fans can tune in for a “sneak peek of some of our upcoming projects, partnerships, and events happening through 2025.” SEGA didn’t provide any further information, but the company should be highlighting Sonic x Shadow Generations at the very least.
