Souldiers delay

Publisher Dear Villagers, along with developer Retro Forge, have announced a slight delay for Souldiers. The action-RPG Metroidvania adventure is now scheduled for June 2, 2022.

Souldiers was previously provided with a May 19 release date back in March.

Wolfstride

Wolfstride, an RPG about three former partners-in-crime that come to a turning point in their lives, originally debuted at the end of last year. Now thanks to an eShop listing, we know that it’s heading to Switch – and very soon at that.

Wolfstride comes from publisher Raw Fury and developer OTA IMON Studios. The three main characters reunite after inheriting the junkyard mecha Cowboy and decide to enter the Ultimate Golden God Tournament.

The usual Japanese sales data that we typically see on Thursdays has been delayed due to holidays this week (Golden Week), but we do have a bit of news about how Nintendo Switch Sports debuted in Japan.

Early data has revealed that the game sold 190,000 copies. It goes without saying that it was the best-selling title in Japan last week.

Dying Light update 1.0.4

Another update has gone live for the Switch version of Dying Light, with Techland issuing version 1.0.4. It includes tweaks, improvements, and new features.

Performance has been further enhanced, and HD Rumble is now better supported. That’s along with an updated Hellraid dungeon and Tolga & Fatin event.

Surface Rush

JanduSoft has announced that it’s teaming up with DrimTiGames on a Switch version of Surface Rush. The arcade, skill based title will be ready to go on June 2, 2022.

Wingspan: European Expansion launch trailer

The European Expansion for Wingspan has landed on Switch, and to celebrate, a new trailer has come in.

The DLC for the strategy card game includes a bunch of extra content. Players can get their hands on new birds, new powers, and more. Additional information can be found below. 

The Big Con Grift of the Year Edition release date

The Big Con: Grift of the Year Edition was announced for Switch last month, and a release date has now come in. Today, publisher Skybound Games and developer Mighty Yell announced that the ’90s teenage crime adventure will be available on June 1, 2022.

As previously mentioned, The Big Con is adding a Rad Ghost arcade game, additional comedic characters, and new collectables for its Switch release. It’s estimated that over two hours of all-new content will be included.

Build-A-Bear Grookey

Build-A-Bear isn’t slowing down on its Pokemon line, and has now revealed a brand new plushie for Grookey.

The Grass-type Pokemon can be ordered online now. Each plushie includes a 5-in-1 sound chip with cries that the creature is known for, a leaf shirt, and a leaf cape. All of these items are being sold in an online exclusive bundle.

Citizen Sleeper trailer

Following the release of Citizen Sleeper, the game has received a launch trailer. Fellow Traveller and Jump Over the Age are offering another look at the narrative RPG.

Summer Game Fest 2022 showcase

Summer Game Fest was already confirmed to be returning for 2022, but a date for the actual showcase has now been announced. Host and creator Geoff Keighley revealed today that the event, titled Summer Game Fest Live!, will take place on June 9. It will be live streamed on YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook and more global outlets.
