Arcade Archives Ridge Racer confirmed for Nintendo Switch, will have ownership discount for Switch 2 version [update: trailer]

May 21: Arcade Archives 2 Ridge Racer was previously announced for Nintendo Switch 2, but it’s now been confirmed that the classic title will be made available on Switch 1. Both versions are planned for June 5, 2025.
On Nintendo Switch, the game will be released as part of the regular Arcade Archives series. The title will cost $16.99 on Nintendo Switch 2 while the Switch 1 version is priced at $14.99.

The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is the main new release, coming in at #11. However, an older title tops the chart – that being Overcooked 2.

Koei Tecmo details Wild Hearts S differences on Nintendo Switch 2

Koei Tecmo is revisiting Wild Hearts with a brand new “S” version for Nintendo Switch 2, and on the official website, the publisher outlines all of the differences between the upcoming release and the original.
The big addition is that instead of three players, Wild Hearts S will support four players both locally and online. Some adjustments have also been made.

We’ve got a bit of news for those looking to secure a physical copy of Tamagotchi Plaza. Over in Japan, Bandai Namco will be putting the game out at retail.
Tamagotchi Plaza will be available in boxed form on both Nintendo Switch 1 and 2. For the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, everything is included on the cartridge – it’s not a game-key card release. Also, both Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 will support English alongside Japanese.

It’s now come to light that Nintendo is pursuing legal action against Genki, an accessories maker that gained notoriety before the reveal of Switch 2.
Before the system was officially announced earlier in the year, leaks and rumors were flying in left and right. Genki was one such entity that got in on the action. At CES 2025 a few months ago, the company was showing off a Nintendo Switch 2 dummy replica. Nintendo understandably wasn’t too happy with what transpired.
