Splatoon 3 just wrapped up its latest Splatfest, and we have the results for the drums vs. guitar vs. keyboard event that took place over the weekend. Nintendo asked players to choose which instrument they would play.
The halftime report indicated that Team Keyboard had the lead with 35.27 percent. Next up was Team Guitar at 32.31 percent, followed by Team Drums in third with 32.42 percent.

Grounded, the next Xbox-published game coming to Switch, is now confirmed for physical release. As was the case with Pentiment, Limited Run Games is handling distribution.
Grounded will have a standard version and collector’s edition. With the latter, in addition to a copy of the game, you’ll get a special box, 4×6 frame that includes ten swappable art cards, a USB cassette tape soundtrack, a CD soundtrack, dice set, stickers, art book, Mant minitures, and Hopes sweatbands.
Police officer warned, salary to be deducted for playing Switch while on duty

A police officer in his 40s at Japan’s Tenri Police Station has been reprimanded after playing Switch while on duty. Aside from receiving a warning from the director of the Nara prefectural police department, his pay will be deducted as well.
According to a report from The Japan News, the officer used a Switch ten times for a total of seventeen hours between November 2023 and February 2024. Again, this was while he was on duty. Police say that work was neglected when he connected his system to a TV in the break room at the police box.
Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream announced for Switch

Yoko Shimomura reflects on her work for Super Mario RPG

Yoko Shimomura played a key role in Super Mario RPG as back in the day, she was the game’s composer. Music is one of a few reasons why the title is beloved today.
Shimomura came back for the new remake and updated the tracks for the modern era. However, players can switch to the original music if they prefer.
In a previous feature on Daion, Shimomura shared a few words about her work. She mentions feeling pressure living up to the Super Mario name while also feeling “incredibly lucky”. We also get to hear about wanting the Switch version’s music to remain faithful to the original.
