Gravity Circuit physical

Original (9/11): Pix’n Love, along with PID Games and Domesticated Ant Games, confirmed plans to produce a physical release for Gravity Circuit on Switch. It will be available in Q4 2023.

Other details weren’t shared as part of the announcement. As of now, it’s unclear if there are plans for any special editions.

Trombone Champ gameplay

With Trombone Champ joining the Switch eShop this week following the Nintendo Direct announcement, a closer look is available with new gameplay. It’s a good look at the rhythm game from Holy Wow Studios.

Horizon Chase 2 gameplay

Gameplay has emerged for Horizon Chase 2, which saw a shadowdrop yesterday as part of the latest Nintendo Direct. Close to a half hour of footage has arrived.

Original (5/31): Milestone made it official today that it’s developing Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, and it’ll be launching on Switch later this year. The announcement follows previous leaks surrounding the game.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged will include motorbikes and ATVs, new locations, new game modes, improvements such as the ability to create a party with friends, a story-driven career mode starring four original characters, and more. We have a bunch of details below.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Nigel Thornberry

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is closing out the week with its latest character spotlight trailer for Nigel Thornberry.

Nigel is another character back from the last game, but with new techniques. One change is that he can now flap his wings like a bird up to four times in the air. Along those same lines, he has a more elegant Falcon Dive move. Nigel can also perform moves like his down special “Smashing”, side special “Gorilla Double Punch”, neutral special “Bull Stampede”, and up special “Whale Crash”. Note that Nigel is the lightest character in the game.

TMNT: Shredder's Revenge physical Anniversary Edition

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge already had a physical release in the past, but it’s getting an updated version in the form of the Anniversary Edition. It will be handled by Limited Run Games in North America and Merge Games in PAL regions.

The TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge Anniversary Edition includes the main game and the Dimension Shellshock DLC. This includes Survival Mode, two brand new playable characters, Usagi and Karai, exclusive color palettes, and more. Limited Run Games is also putting in a sprite sticker sheet, art booklet, and Pizza Hut personal pan pizza coupon. Additionally, a Classic Edition of the Anniversary Edition is up for grabs that packs in a retro styled slipcover, VHS style box, and strategy guide.

Circana has released a listing of the top ten best-selling games in the U.S. for the month of August 2023.

After coming in at #6 in July, Pikmin 4 falls to #11. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom reclaims the top spot for Switch and actually moves up a spot to #6. And speaking of games increasing their positions, Minecraft goes from #14 to #9.

Final Exerion

City Connection and Happymeal today announced Final Exerion, an updated version of Jaleco’s 1983 arcade shooter for Switch. It will be available worldwide on September 21, 2023.

Deltarune Chapter 3 update

Original (6/30): Fans might be curious about Deltarune given how the game has been in development for a few years now, and we thankfully now have an update on Chapter 3 – from Toby Fox himself. The latest progress report was shared in a newsletter that went out this week.

Fox has indicated that work is progressing with the game’s third chapter as the final overworld area is being worked on. A lot has been going on, but Fox said that the fourth chapter will be “much more standard”.
