April 2: Firaxis has just shared that Civilization 7 is getting a Nintendo Switch 2 version. The game will be available for Nintendo Switch 2 at launch.

Civilization 7 previously made it to the current Nintendo Switch. When it heads to the new console, it will feature support for new mouse controls.

Neon Inferno release date

A release date has just come through for Neon Inferno, the upcoming 2D run-and-gun and gallery-shooter. It’s due out for Nintendo Switch on October 2, 2025.

We previously heard about the project earlier in the year when it had a Q3 2025 launch window. Remember that it comes from Zenovia Interactive, the team behind Steel Assault.

Super Mario Bros. 3 reward My Nintendo

A new Super Mario Bros. 3 reward has just gone up on My Nintendo, but there’s a bit of a wrinkle. It will only be available to those who are Nintendo Switch Online members.

The reward in question is a desktop metal display. According to the description, it has “vibrant artwork on metal and a sleek black acrylic base etched with the My Nintendo logo,” making it “a stylish tribute for any fan or collector.” Protective film is included on both sides, though Nintendo says that it can be peeled off by gently warming it with a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive.

Yosei Wars

Rawrlab Games is making Yosei Wars for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, the studio announced today. A release window was not shared.

Yosei Wars is a 2D platformer inspired by the Game Boy era and arcade titles. In fact, it was originally designed as a homebrew release for Nintendo’s retro portable.

Anima: Gate of Memories 1 & 2 Remaster

Today, Anima Project revealed Anima: Gate of Memories 1 & 2 Remaster for Nintendo Switch 2. A release is planned for 2026.

Anima: Gate of Memories and Anima: Gate of Memories – The Nameless Chronicles will both be included. Both titles came to Nintendo Switch previously, but the collection will feature updated versions.

May 15: A new report claims that reviews for Nintendo Switch 2 could be limited leading up to launch, which is at least in part due to a significant day one patch that is required.

Nintendo has been informing some journalists that they will not have access to a unit until launch day. The Game Business spoke with four such media members, including two described as “very, very senior journalists in the games industry”.


Nintendo released a new video today showcasing a few European digital game highlights from May 2025. Some of the highlighted titles include Capcom Fighting Collection 2, Fantasy Life i, and Please Touch the Artwork 2.

Nintendo is concluding its “Creator’s Voice” video series for Switch 2 with a special video from NVIDIA. This time around, CEO Jensen Huang shares some insights into the creation of the system’s custom processor. Previous videos have delved into the games, but this one is all about hardware.


Over eight years after the game originally launched, someone has come forward claiming that they’re the first person to ever fully beat 1-2 Switch.

Until now, no one had confirmed that they had completed the Plate Spin mini-game. While all of the other mini-games don’t take terribly long to finish, it’s this one that’s particularly challenging.

Fantasy Life i Nintendo Switch 2 version

May 27: Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time just received a release date on Nintendo Switch 2, and it turns out you won’t have to wait very long to play it. Level-5 says it’ll be ready in time for the console’s launch on June 5, 2025.

We previously heard that there would be some improvements on Nintendo Switch 2 compared to the Switch 1 version, and now we have full details. According to Level-5, there’ll be better graphics and an improved frame rate. Additionally, distant objects will be rendered more clearly. Game startup and scene transitions are also faster and more seamless as well.
