October 17: Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is getting even more DLC, and Daima – Adventure Through The Demon Realm DLC has been revealed. This comes in celebration of the new anime that recently started.
As of now Bandai Namco is keeping quiet on the details. However, it looks like there’ll be at least two parts to the DLC. It also looks like players will be able to explore the new Demon Realm.

Nintendo Switch 2 offers plenty of power and has new features like mouse controls and GameChat, but it’s building off the foundations of its predecessor. Partially because of that, some have the belief that it’s not much of an innovation.
Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa responded to that claim during a financial results briefing Q&A this week. The big takeaway is that developers have needed “higher hardware processing power in order to realize one of Nintendo’s most important values, ‘proposing new ways to play.'” Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza were cited as two examples “that could not be realized on the Nintendo Switch.” Mario Kart World features an open world with more racers on the track than ever before while Donkey Kong Bananza contains destructible environments.

Around the reveal of Nintendo Switch 2, there was a ton of discussion taking place around pricing. While the system having a set cost of $450 was a tough pill to swallow for some, for the most part, it seems that initial news has been accepted. However, game prices have been more controversial – many were surprised to see that Mario Kart World would cost $80, for example.

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has shared a few more comments about tariffs and how it could impact the company’s business, including Switch 2.
Speaking during a financial Q&A briefing, Furukawa clarified that the company is producing hardware in China, Vietnam, and Cambodia. However, for North America, production is “mainly” taking place in Vietnam. The United States currently has a 10 percent tariff on Vietnam, compared to 145 percent for China.

Subscription services and all the rage these days, and for Nintendo, that means it needs to encourage as many people to sign up for Switch Online.
Nintendo has gradually added more to the service over the past several years. It started out with elements such as online play and access to classic games, but more recently, we’ve seen Nintendo Music and the upcoming inclusion of GameChat on Switch 2.

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has provided further insight into the company’s initial sales expectations for Switch 2.
As part of yesterday’s financial results, we heard that Nintendo is forecasting 15 million units sold for the first year. Following up on that, during the Q&A portion of the company’s briefing, an investor brought up that this seems to be a somewhat conservative number.

Deltarune confirms cross-buy for Nintendo Switch 1 and 2

Deltarune will have full cross-buy support on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, creator Toby Fox has confirmed.
If you pick up the game on Nintendo’s current console, that means you’ll be able to grab it for no extra cost on Switch 2. The same applies the other way around. Essentially, you only need to buy it once – as long as you use the same Nintendo Account.

Today, Level-5 confirmed plans to release a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. The company did not announce release timing.
Those that pick up the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition can expect a higher resolution and frame rate compared to the Switch 1 version. No further changes were specified.
Operation Night Strikers confirmed for Nintendo Switch [update: trailer]

February 5: M2, in collaboration with Taito, today announced that Operation Night Strikers will be seeing release on Nintendo Switch. The collection is due out in 2025.
Operation Night Strikers contains four games in total. You’ll get Operation Wolf, Operation Thunderbolt, Night Striker, and Space Gun here. Various features are also included such as filters, the ability to save and load at any point, and more.

May 7: Today, Hamster shared the news that it’s releasing ACA NeoGeo Selection Vol. 5 and 6 on Nintendo Switch with a new physical release for retail in Japan. It’s due out on August 7, 2025.
Below is the lineup for each package:
