Kirby Nintendo Switch headset PowerA

PowerA has just come out with a brand new Nintendo Switch wired stero headset that decked out with a special Kirby design.

We’ve been keeping an eye on this one for a bit. A listing for the game went up on Amazon a few weeks ago, but then quickly vanished. Now it’s back up and available to order. It seems that it officially released this week – at least here in the U.S.

The latest Nintendo Switch eShop charts for the week of March 8, 2025 are now available.

This really shouldn’t be much of a surprise, but it’s again Super Mario Party Jamboree coming out on top. If we had to guess, things will stay that way until the launch of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition later in the month. It’s also worth mentioning that Pokemon Legends: Arceus is here – perhaps it received a bump following Pokemon Day and the full reveal of Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

Metroid movie cancelled

Gail Tilden, former marketing manager at Nintendo of America, has spoken about the Metroid movie that never came to be.

It was around two decades ago that there were hopes of seeing Samus Aran on the big screen. The movie was planned to hit theaters in 2006, but that didn’t end up happening. Producer Brad Foxhoven would later reflect on what transpired, indicating that there were creative disagreements with Nintendo. The company was apparently hesitant after the 1993 Mario movie bombed and was unsure about allowing a different team to handle Samus’ origin story.
