April 2: Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment has just been announced for Nintendo Switch 2. It’ll be available this winter.

Building off of other games in the series, this one features the untold story from Hyrule’s distant past of the Imprisoning War that led to the events of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. According to Nintendo, it’s a “canonical tale”.

First details can be found in the following overview:

Hotel Dusk Nintendo trademark

A new trademark for Hotel Dusk: Room 215 has been filed in Japan, and some are hoping that it could mark a return of the Nintendo DS game.

We typically don’t report on Japanese trademarks as they tend to be overblown. More often than not, they are filings done to protect IPs and are not indicative of an imminent release. However, we’re in a bit of a different situation here. Whereas most Japanese trademarks for Nintendo games are for renewals, this is an entirely new filing. Additionally, Hotel Dusk now has a trademark in the country for the first time (there was previously one for its Japanese name Wish Room).

Nintendo Switch 2 Samsung

According to a report from Bloomberg, Samsung Electronics is manufacturing the main semiconductor chips for Nintendo Switch 2.

The outlet says that the NVIDIA-designed chip will allow for a production pace in which Nintendo could ship over 20 million units by March 2026. Samsung also has the capabilities to increase chip production, but Switch 2 shipments are dependent on assemblers.

Nintendo Gamescom 2025

Nintendo will be attending Gamescom 2025, the company has confirmed. That news was just posted today on social media.

Nintendo had previously been one of the bigger representatives at Gamescom, which is Europe’s largest gaming expo. However, in more recent years, the company’s attendance record has been spotty. Nintendo did appear at Gamescom 2023 which at that point was the first time in four years, but then missed last year’s show.

Award Winning Indie Gems 4-in-1

Limited Run Games has announced a different kind of physical release for Nintendo Switch, which is Award Winning Indie Gems 4-in-1.

As you’d expect, four different titles are included here. Endling: Extinction is Forever, Through the Darkest of Times, One Hand Clapping, and El Hijo: A Wild West Tale are all in the package.

Sticky Business Book of Shadows DLC

Today, it was announced that Sticky Business is set to receive brand new Book of Shadows DLC. It will first come to PC on May 26 with Nintendo Switch to follow soon after.

The Book of Shadows DLC brings along a new wave of content for players. 84 new stickers (plus variations), 10 heartfelt customer stories, mystical goodies, glitter papers, and more are included.

Switch 2 GameChat accessibility features

As Nintendo continues to deliver small nuggets of information about Switch 2, we’ve now learned about its video recording limit as well as some accessibility features.

With the current Nintendo Switch, you should be aware that you can only record 30 seconds of gameplay at a time. For Nintendo Switch 2, that limit appears to be exactly the same. We can hold out hope that something like a firmware update could change that in the future, but at least at launch, 30 seconds is the recording limit once again.

Minecraft

In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 15 European eShop downloads for April 2025.

Similar to last month, it’s Minecraft at the top. Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition did make the top 15 last month, but has now fallen. A game that we didn’t see previously is Croc Legend of the Gobbos, which squeaks into the top ten.

The full lineup for Europe’s top 15 downloads on the Nintendo Switch eShop for April 2025 is as follows:
