Nintendo-labor-complaint-Mackenzie-Clifton-settlement

Following a a National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) complaint filed by former Nintendo of America QA worker Mackenzie Clifton, a settlement has been reached. An agreement was filed Wednesday and both parties must uphold their end of the deal.

Aston Carter, a staffing agency that works with Nintendo, intends to take liability here. Clifton will be payed $29,910 in back pay, damages, and interest. Nintendo must post a notice for 60 consecutive days via email as well as on-site at its office that informs its QA workers of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 swimsuits

Nintendo and Monolith Soft have shared what is presumably their final video for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Wave 2 Expansion Pass DLC, and have now shown off the swimsuit costumes players will be able to unlock in the game.

Players can earn special outfits and accessories by taking on the new Challenge Battles. This mode, which introduces the Nopon Archsage, features consecutive battles against tough enemies.

Pikmin Bloom update 55.0

Niantic has issued a new version 55.0 update for Pikmin Bloom.

One of the additions is that users can send postcards in the weekly challenge screen. On top of that, it’s possible to see all of the Mii items available in the shop in the Mii editor. Finally, speaking of Miis, players can try on Mii items in the shop and easily access the Mii editor.

Tropico: Nintendo Switch Edition update 1.0.5

A major 1.5.0 update has gone live for Tropico: Nintendo Switch Edition.

Included in the patch is new content, including new maps, the helpful Resource Overview, the “Secure Mansion“, new modern military building, the “Overwatchtower”, and more. With the Overwatchtower, players have the ability to uncover hidden roles of passing Tropicans. Lots of improvements and bug fixes are also available.

Insomnis

Original (9/28): Today, Meridiem Games announced a partnership with Path Games to bring the first-person horror game Insomnis to Switch. It will be available by the end of 2022.

Insomnis will come with Switch-specific gameplay features including a redesigned interaction system for play with the Joy-Con and HD Rumble. Additionally, touch screen usage will be supported in which players can interact with objects or solve puzzles. The game will run at a resolution of 720p in portable mode and 1080p in docked mode.

Samurai Maiden opening

D3Publisher and Shade have gone live with the opening movie for Samurai Maiden, their sword fighting action game. It shows off gameplay, the main characters, and more.

We seem to know when Rune Factory 3 Special will launch on Switch – at least in Japan. Thanks to retailer listings, it’s confirmed that the game will launch on March 2, 2023.

In Japan, Marvelous will offer a “Dream Collection” special edition for 10,780 yen. It includes a copy of the game, special box featuring an illustration by Minako Iwasaki, “all-star” drama CD featuring a “mass gathering” of protagonists, “classified private CD,” memorial diorama acrylic stand, and download code for the additional content “Everyone Wears Swimsuits Mode.”

Rune Factory 3 Special was previously announced during the last Nintendo Direct in September. We know it’s on track for 2023 in North America and Europe, but a specific date hasn’t been provided.
