A few more details on Kirby’s Dream Collection Special Edition were shared during the latest Nintendo Direct. We’ve rounded up the information for you below.
– Again: the games are Kirby’s Dream Land and Kirby’s Dream Land 2 from the Game Boy. Kirby’s Adventure from the NES. Kirby’s Dream Land 3 and Kirby Super Star from the SNES and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards from the Nintendo 64
– Kirby’s Dream Land 1/2 will be playable on Wii for the first time
– The other games have been made available through the Virtual Console
– Has new challenges from Kirby’s Return to Dream Land
– History of Kirby gallery
– This gallery has concept art, Kirby cartoon show episodes, and more
– Package has an art book and soundtrack CD
– New Kirby merchandise heading to Club Nintendo Japan: pillows, handbags in a contest
– In Japan, the collection will be promoted by Game Center CX’s celebrity gamer Shinya Arino playing through Kirby Super Star in a special episode of that popular retro-gaming TV show

Nintendo UK has “nothing to announce” regarding Kirby’s Dream Collection

Kirby’s Dream Collection Special Edition has already been ruled out for Australia. It’s possible that the package won’t be heading to the UK either.
You may have noticed that Kirby’s Dream Collection Special Edition was missing from NOE’s Nintendo Direct presentation. When asked about the game, a spokesperson said that Nintendo UK had “nothing to announce at this time”.
Six games, a Museum Mode, artbook, soundtrack, and more are included in Kirby’s Dream Collection Special Edition. The package is due out next month in Japan and September in North America.

Retailers to set own prices for 3DS XL in the UK

Unlike the North American and Japanese announcement, the 3DS XL reveal for the UK didn’t include a specific price point. That’s because retailers will be determining their own prices, much like the original 3DS.
According to a Nintendo representative, prices “should be going live ASAP”.
The spokesperson said:
“As always, the final price to consumers is determined by the retailers, but we have aimed at making the price as reasonable as we can to the consumer.”
The 3DS XL launches in Europe and Japan on July 28.
