Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion fact sheet

Product Overview
In “Disney Epic Mickey: Power Of Illusion,” gamers will play as Mickey Mouse as he infiltrates the Castle of Illusion on a quest to put an end to the evil witch Mizrabel’s diabolical intentions. Players will be taken on an all-new adventure made specifically for the Nintendo 3DS where, “Reality Is What You Paint Of It.” Created by critically acclaimed video game developer DreamRift, under the direction of Disney Interactive’s Junction Point, “Disney Epic Mickey: Power Of Illusion” furthers the Wasteland saga by taking players on a completely new story and adventure.Paying tribute to the classic Sega Genesis title “Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse,” “Disney Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion” focuses on the fabled Castle of Illusion, which has fallen into Wasteland, an alternate world filled with 80 years of forgotten Disney characters and theme park attractions – and now forgotten video games. The evil witch Mizrabel, villainess from the classic “Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse,” finds herself an unwilling inhabitant of Wasteland, and unleashes a plot to escape using the Castle of Illusion to imprison and drain the cartoon essence from currently famous Toons. Players will take on the role of Mickey Mouse as he utilizes his magical brush to wield paint and thinner to confront Mizrabel and save the Toons.
Nintendo’s response to the Pokemon PETA situation
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, News | 0 comments
Animal rights group PETA kicked off a parody against Pokemon (specifically Black/White 2) last week, complete with a playable Flash game. The organization was targeting the popular franchise because it promotes animal cruelty and linked abused animals to the Pokemon in the game.
“Pokémon are treated as unfeeling objects and used for such things as human entertainment and as subjects in experiments. The way that Pokémon are stuffed into pokéballs is similar to how circuses chain elephants inside railroad cars and let them out only to perform confusing and often painful tricks that were taught using sharp steel-tipped bullhooks and electric shock prods.”
So how does Nintendo feel about the situation? The company sent out a terse statement a few days ago:
“Nintendo and The Pokémon Company take the inappropriate use of our products and intellectual property seriously.”
Thanks to Tim for the tip.

– Find team skills in dungeons
– Some of these include making it more difficult to step on traps, or showing the amount of items contained in a dungeon
Walmart to have midnight launch for Wii U, receiving stock starting on Nov. 14
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments

A few stores will be hosting midnight launches for the Wii U next month (yes, it really is just a month away!). That includes Walmart, which is confirmed by a new internal sheet from the retailer. You should be able to grab the console at 12:00 AM as long as you have a pre-order.
The same sheet also points out that Wii U stock should arrive well before the Wii U’s launch in most cases. This is something that you’d expect, but outlets could begin to receive systems as early as November 14, and no later than November 16. Sorry though – that doesn’t mean you can get the Wii U early!

Pokemon train car will debut in Japan December 22nd
Posted on 12 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
Just take a look at those images and you’ll have an idea of what we’re dealing with here: A Pokemon-themed train car(s?) that will be appearing in Japan in and around the Tohoku area. The reason I’m unsure of whether or not there is just one or multiple cars to this somewhat odd choice of decor is because there are two images of the interior, but only one of the exterior. Does that mean both interior images fit into the exterior, or that there are two cars and we’re just not seeing the other one!?
No idea. But it would be awfully fun to ride in one of these!
