Lost in Random The Eternal Die gameplay

Ahead of its debut next week, we have gameplay of Lost in Random: The Eternal Die. A half hour of footage shows it running on Nintendo Switch.

Everything you need to know can be found in the following overview:

Devil’s Third went through a bit of a rollercoaster during its development. Originally, THQ was slated to publish the game and it wasn’t even planned for Nintendo platforms at the time. But after THQ went bankrupt, South Korean company Doobic picked up the project. Doobic ended up going out of business itself, and eventually, Nintendo stepped in to handle it.

Whether it was because of the change in partners or another reason, Devil’s Third didn’t turn out well even though it initially seemed to be a potentially interesting Wii U exclusive. But now in 2025, director Tomonobu Itagaki has reflected on the title, feeling that it “was innovative for a game of its time”.

1080p Nintendo Switch games Switch 2

A new list is available outlining Nintendo Switch games that automatically run at 1080p on Switch 2 in handheld mode.

With the previous system, titles would always try to hit the native 720p resolution for portable play when possible. When you run them on Nintendo Switch 2, that’s usually the resolution you’ll get. However, a few actually go beyond the limit, and will run at 1080p automatically – in other words, you don’t need to download any patches.

Listings on the eShops provide file sizes for a bunch of Nintendo Switch games. These include Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, Locomoto, and more.

Here’s the full roundup:

Mario Kart World Totaka's Song

Totaka’s Song, which has been an Easter egg in Nintendo games going back decades, has been found in Mario Kart World.

The Easter egg originally snuck in by Nintendo sound designer Kazumi Totaka. The melody first appeared in the Game Boy game melody way back in 1990, but has since appeared in more recent titles like Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (plus other entries in the series) and Mario Kart 8. Now it’s here in Mario Kart World as well.

Pokemon Unite Latias and Laios

The next playable characters have been revealed for Pokemon Unite, which will add Latias and Latios. The announcement took place during the 2025 Pokemon North America International Championships today. This will come in celebration of the game’s anniversary in July.

Unfortunately, that’s all of the information we have currently. No details have been shared about what they’ll actually be like in the game. There’s also no word on release timing.

Into the Emberlands

Daedalic Entertainment and Tiny Roar are putting Into the Emberlands on Nintendo Switch, the two sides have announced. A release is planned for July 2, 2025.

Into the Emberlands is a cozy exploration game about rebuilding the home of the charming Knacks. This also involves  saving villagers who are lost in the Miasma and collecting resources.

Monster Crown Red King 1.1.0 update

This week, Monster Crown released a brand new version 1.1.0 update on Nintendo Switch, which is known as “Red King”.

The update comes with new content and significant improvements. Mark’s Quest, the brand-new province Dino Land with a variety of new monsters, is now available. The team has also revamped monster stat generation, battle math systems, and collision system. There are also various graphical enhancements and optimizations.

The full rundown is as follows:

After another long standoff between Nintendo and Amazon, the two sides are finally working together once again.

For whatever reason, over the past year or so, it has been impossible to purchase anything sold directly by Nintendo – at least if you’re in the United States. That means the Nintendo Switch 2 console itself, recently-released and upcoming titles like Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza, and even new amiibo were unavailable on Amazon. Neither side commented on the situation, leaving fans to wonder why they could purchase or pre-order many of Nintendo’s products.
