Art Academy fact sheet

Turn Nintendo DS into a Canvas of Creativity
Anyone who has ever wanted to learn how to draw or paint can now do both, thanks to Art Academy, the new art training software for the Nintendo DS family of systems. These portable lessons teach drawing and painting techniques, that students would learn in an art class, in a casual and fun way while building skills that can be transferred to real-world art materials. With Free Paint, budding artists can capture inspiration wherever it may strike.

FEATURES

Students can learn at their own pace. The in-game tutor, Vince, guides them through each new lesson and gradually introduces new artistic concepts. Each new lesson builds upon concepts studied in previous lessons, complete with step-by-step examples. Lessons can also be saved in progress, to be completed at another time.

This information comes from Marvelous Group Manager Tomio Kanazawa…

“That’s a pretty good idea! That is one of the many things we think our fans want, and we want to provide to them. We at Marvelous Entertainment want to continue to meet and exceed the expectations from our fans as we continue to bring them new experiences.”

In the end, Muramasa could end up on a number of different platforms. As we already know, been available on the Wii for some time, but there has been a  rumor floating around that it’ll end up on PSN and XBLA as well. The 3DS game could end up being the most interesting version of all, though, with the 3D effects and other elements that could be added – if this truly does happen, that is!
