King Hippo and Donkey Kong look kind of similar, don’t they?

It’s true that the sprite comparisons are at the same angle, but you can’t deny that there King Hippo and Donkey Kong are alike in many ways. Just look at the positions of the characters’ arms. Heck, even their facial expressions are comparable!
Thanks to TT for the tip!

Land ho!
IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – September 21, 2010 – Atlus U.S.A., Inc., today announced that Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City, the third chapter in the acclaimed series of exploration RPGs for Nintendo DSTM, has sailed into stores across North America.
A limited edition first-run “Explorer’s Poster” is included free in the first manufacturing run of the game. Rumor: 3DS to feature backlit buttons

The image above – which is a confirmed picture from EA’s My Garden demonstration video at TGS – indicates what the backlit buttons would look like on the 3DS. It’s not exactly the biggest feature in the world, but I do think it’s a nice touch. What do you guys think? Is it something you like? Or do you just not care?! Tell us how you feel in the comments section!

Here’s the reason why Worms: Battle Islands is making the jump to retail
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
“With regards to Worms: Battle Islands for Wii, a title we announced some time back, it became increasingly clear that by switching the game from WiiWare to a boxed retail Wii title, we would be able to make the game available to as many Worms fans on the platform as possible. We are pleased that through the THQ Partners program, we will have a strong retail presence for Worms: Battle Islands on Wii coming into the important holiday season.” – Team17 statement
For awhile, I wasn’t interested in the Worms series at all. That is, until I tried a demo of Worms: Open Warfare 2 from the Nintendo Channel. From that point on, I was pretty much hooked… So much so that I must have kept my DS on for a month so that I wouldn’t lose the demo! I’m expecting Battle Islands to be just as enjoyable, and I’ll be picking up a copy when it releases.

Happy 121st birthday, Nintendo!

That is correct, guys: On this day in Japan, 1889, the original toy-making wonder-company Nintendo was founded, and the whole dream of video gaming began. Of course, it wasn’t until 1975 that they actually turned into a video entertainment company, but still, it’s pretty cool that they got their roots all the way back in the 1800s!
Congratulations to Nintendo, and here’s to another 121!
