Braid creator says Anniversary Edition sales are “utterly terribly”
Posted on 4 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop | 0 comments
While we don’t have any specifics, it seems that the sales of Braid: Anniversary Edition have been disappointing across all platforms. Jonathan Blow, the game’s creator, has gone on record multiple times with updates about the performance.
About a week after launch in the middle of May, Blow wasn’t entirely sure what to make of the game’s sales yet, and pointed out how things like discounts would eventually come into play. A little more than a month later though, he mentioned how Braid “sold horribly” and “the future is uncertain.” Moving on to July 21, Blow said sales of Braid: Anniversary Edition “have been terrible, they’ve been utterly terrible”. Similar statements were again made on July 27.
