The latest UK software sales for the week ending May 4, 2024 is now available.
As far as Switch games go, EA Sports FC 24 is the closest to the top at #3. Elsewhere, Sonic Superstars sees a big rise and climbs to #29. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe remains in the top five.

The next update for Fire Emblem Heroes, version 8.5.0, is now available.
There are new skills for some Legendary Heroes, new Memento Events, and quite a bit more. Also, worth noting that revival summoning events will be held three times per week.

Nintendo announcing Switch successor this fiscal year, next Nintendo Direct in June

Nintendo will be revealing the successor to Switch within this fiscal year, the company just confirmed.
That news comes directly from president Shuntaro Furukawa. Furukawa provided the brief update as part of today’s financial results – you can read about that here.
Also confirmed today is that the next Nintendo Direct will air in June. However, fans should expect to hear news about what’s slated for Switch for the second half of the year only.

Nintendo million sellers – May 2024 – Princess Peach: Showtime, Mario vs. Donkey Kong make the list

Thanks to Nintendo’s latest financial results, we have an updated list of million sellers on Switch. This is based on data through March 31, 2024.
Two new entries are here this time around. As it turns out, Princess Peach: Showtime and Mario vs. Donkey Kong have both crossed the million mark.

Nintendo updated its release schedule for its May 2024 financial results, which covers the full fiscal year. The company is highlighting what’s on the horizon for Switch.
Right now there aren’t too many surprises. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD are here, but both will be out within the next couple of months. Metroid Prime 4 is also still on the list, but doesn’t have any sort of release window. Pokemon Legends: Z-A is the main new addition, and that launches in 2025.

Fire Emblem Heroes has unveiled its latest summoning event, which is New Heroes & Rearmed Lumera.
Four new Heroes who are enveloped in a dark aura, including Rearmed Hero Lumera: Corrupted Dragon, will be appearing. Additionally, the next Grand Hero Battle with Lloyd: Vengeful Wolf starts later in the week.
Zelda: A Link to the Past icons added to Nintendo Switch Online

Right now five designs are up for grabs, with each one based on a character. These include Link, Zelda, and more.
Tetris 99 announces Endless Ocean Luminous Maximus Cup

May 1: Endless Ocean Luminous is heading to Tetris 99 as part of a new event. This will be the 40th Maximus Cup for the game.
Players can participate with a Nintendo Switch Online membership. During the event, simply play the online mode and earn points. Points are dished out based on placement in each match. After reaching 100 event points, a new theme will unlock, featuring background art, music and Tetrimino designs inspired by Endless Ocean Luminous.
