Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Weappy today announced Rebel Cops, a turn-based tactics stealth game set in This Is the Police universe. It will launch in just a couple of weeks – specifically September 17.

One of the surprise announcements of the latest Nintendo Direct was Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, an enhanced port of the JRPG collaboration between Atlus and Intelligent Systems that originally released on the Wii U. In addition to major new content like a new song and a new dungeon, the Encore version also has a few other additions, namely some new costumes. The following were all initially spotted by Twitter user @theprinceofiris. First up, a brand new costume for Mamori can be seen in a screenshot on the official Japanese website of the game, which shows her wearing a student outfit from the Officers Academy in Fire Emblem: Three Houses (see above).

Next up, Tiki gets a new outfit based on her classic appearance in the very first Fire Emblem game. In the Wii U version, Tiki only appeared in battle as part of some special moves, but she seems to be a permanent party member now, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to see this new outfit:

It seems like PlatinumGames is pleased with the response to Astral Chain – the developer shared the special artwork shown above on Twitter, which was drawn by Hajime Kimura, thanking players for making Astral Chain “such a success”. We don’t have any concrete sales numbers yet, but judging by its first-week performance on various sales charts in different countries as well as the eShop, it’s definitely been doing well.

Update: The Arena connectivity issue has been resolved and five orbs have been sent to all players as compensation.

 

The previously announced A Splendid Soiree Summoning Focus is now live in Fire Emblem Heroes. Until October 7, you have a chance to summon Nephenee, Reinhardt, Ishtar and Berkut in their special dancing outfits. Additionally, a paralogue story featuring these Heroes is now also available, as well as some time-limited quests which will reward you with some extra orbs.

Pre-registration for the next Grand Conquest event has now started. The event will begin on September 8 and will feature a three-way battle between Laegjarn, Laevatein and Helbindi.

The special orb promo for September is now available. You can purchase 21 orbs and receive 50 Heroic Grails as an additional gift.

Finally, there are currently some issues with the Arena and Arena Assault modes as players can’t connect to and play these modes. Intelligent Systems has acknowledged the issue and is working on resolving it. We will keep you updated.

If you’ve been playing pretty much any kind of mobile game on an Android device lately, you will likely have received several warnings about updating to Android 10 as compatibility of games with this new OS update could not be guaranteed. Pokemon Masters at least seems to have resolved this issue – a new update for the game is now available, which fixes any compatibility issues with Android 10.

During the Japanese version of this week’s Nintendo Direct, Square Enix revealed that the first three Dragon Quest games are coming to Switch this month. While there hasn’t been any news for the west, it looks like there will be an English option available.

Square Enix Asia has indicated that those same three Dragon Quest games will be distributed in Asia “as one packaged bundle.” English, Traditional Chinese, and Korean language options will be supported.

Square Enix Asia mentions that the release will be taking place sometime in 2019.
