Deep Sleep: Labyrinth of the Forsaken

Today, publisher Armor Games Studios and developer Scriptwelder announced that they’ll be releasing Deep Sleep: Labyrinth of the Forsaken on Switch. It’s planned to launch in 2024.

Deep Sleep: Labyrinth of the Forsaken is a point-and-click horror adventure featuring Amy, who’s investigating the unexplained death of her estranged brother. More information is included in the following overview:

Original (6/27): Publisher Microids and developer Mr. Nutz Studio have announced side-scrolling beat-em-up Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! 2 will be coming to Switch. The title is set to release in November, although no precise date has been provided.

Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II delayed

Original (8/24): Aksys Games and Experience provided an update on Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II, revealing that the game has been delayed to February 2024. We should have a specific date closer to launch.

Previously, the title was planned to ship sometime this year. Aksys and Experience did not provide a reason for the updated release plans.

Deltarune creator Toby Fox has provided another update on the project, including news about launch timing once Chapter 4 is ready to go.

Fox confirmed that Chapter 3 “is pretty much content complete”. And since Chapter 5 is a long ways off, the plan is to let fans purchase the game once Chapter 4 – which already “has a very substantial amount of cutscenes and enemy work done” – is ready. Fox confirmed that a new producer has been hired to speed up the rest of development as well.

Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore

Original (7/10): Limited Run Games has announced Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore, a new interactive adventure game. The title is launching on Switch in 2023.

Arzette: The Jewel of Faramor is a spiritual successor to the CD-i Zelda games. We’ve got a brief overview attached below.

Evoland 10th Anniversary Edition physical

A physical release for Evoland 10th Anniversary Edition is on the way to Switch, with SelectPlay announcing plans for the title today. It’ll apparently be out later this year – though of course only a couple of months are left in 2023.

Evoland 10th Anniversary Edition will contain the Evoland and Evoland II full games, a set of four deluxe commemorative coins of the two male and female protagonists, a game logo sticker sheet, and a postcard containing a code to download the digital soundtrack of the titles. It’s all housed in a beautifully crafted chest-shaped box decorated with landscapes and images from the game.

A Perfect Day gameplay

Three new games have just appeared on Nintendo Switch Online with Devil World, The Mysterious Murasame Castle, and Castlevania Legends.

Devil World and The Mysterious Murasame Castle represent the NES. Castlevania Legends, meanwhile, originally launched for the Game Boy.

Amabilly

Publisher Ratalaika Games, along with developer lightUp, have announced Amabilly for Switch. It’s due out digitally on November 3, 2023.

Amabilly is an 8-bit action platformer with two types of levels: the first is about platforming while the other is about taking on enemies. Further details can be found in the following overview:

Original (7/25): GameMill Entertainment is bringing DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing to Switch, the company has announced. It will be available later in 2023.

DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing will feature characters from the Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon, Megamind, and The Bad Guys. The lineup thus far is Shrek himself, Fiona, Donkey, Puss in Boots, Po, Tigress, Master Shifu, Astrid, Megamind, and Mr. Wolf. There’ll be twenty fan-favorite characters in total.
