Over on Glixel, there’s a pretty massive interview with Gearbox Software president and CEO Randy Pitchford. One portion of the discussion went over Pitchford’s recent comments about Switch.

Pitchford said last week that he doesn’t see Borderlands 3 happening on Switch. Communications with Nintendo had been taking place, but stopped for unknown reasons.

Now Pitchford has elaborated on that and much more in Glixel’s interview. He had plenty of praise for Switch, and did also say that “there might be some scenarios where if the Switch becomes a place where there’s a huge number of customers, and it doesn’t compromise the experience that we’re making – there could be a scenario where us or Take-Two and 2K decide to take the effort to make it happen.”

Evo 2017 has announced its lineup for this year’s tournament, which includes the return of two popular Nintendo games. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Smash Bros. Melee will both be represented. The news was shared during a live stream event on Twitch just a short while ago. Super Smash Bros. Melee has been a mainstay at Evo, and Smash Bros. for Wii U has been featured since its release.

The one Nintendo game not officially returning from last year is Pokken Tournament. However, a vote will be held to determine the last game at Evo, and that title is nominated – along with Arms, the brand new Switch game from Nintendo.

Voting will be done through donations on the website Generosity. If you’d like to participate, you can do so here.

For the mean time, let’s both keep our fingers crossed that it will. For all the latest information on upcoming releases, updates, and other news, please visit the Rocket League Facebook page or follow us on Twitter!”

This actually isn’t the first time Psyonix has spoken about its interest in Switch. They did so when it was known as NX as well.
