Nintendo and HAL Laboratory announced Goodbye! BoxBoy! last week. Now in its latest issue, Famitsu shares first details about the game.

Goodbye! BoxBoy! doesn’t make any radical changes to the series’ core mechanics. Just like the last two games, you’ll need to complete levels by creating boxes.

Qbby will have some new abilities this time around. One of these is the Box Rocket, allowing players to rise above from the ground. HAL Laboratory is also introducing the Box Bomb. Using this lets Qbby destroy objects such as spikes.

We’ve been hearing about Wee Man Studios’ new racer Lifespeed for awhile now. Johh Owens has now confirmed that development is complete, and is currently in Nintendo lot check.

When will be seeing Lifespeed? New 3DS owners can expect an early 2017 launch on the eShop. If all goes well, January might be possible.

Red Column shared some news today about what’s in store for the second and third episodes of 3Souls.

In the past, the plan was to offer these episodes as DLC. But after thinking about it heavily, Red Column has instead decided to provide both for free. If you buy the main game (which includes the first episode), players will receive episodes 2 and 3 in a free update when they’re ready to launch.

The two episodes are currently targeted for the first half of 2017. The team has been “working really hard” on the new content, which is taking longer than anticipated.

Our first look at the second episode of 3Souls, titled Nophes, is attached above (animated version here). Here’s what Red Column has to say about it:

“And to finish the day of news, here you have the first image of the coming episode: Nophes and the luminous streets of Sleepless City! As you can see now, every Ánima has a different soul… each of them sees the world through a different lens… so while you have seen and heard Nelesa’s sadness… the green soul of our next character it’s quite the opposite!”

Red Column is celebrating today’s news with a sale. Starting tomorrow and lasthing through January 8, the game is on sale for $1.95 / €1.80 / £1.60.
