In honor of Golden Week, several games are seeing discounts on the Japanese 3DS eShop.

Here’s the full roundup of sales:

Steel Diver: Sub Wars has a bit of a connection with Star Fox. In the game, you may have noticed that Peppy Hare is shown in cameo form.

Despite Peppy’s appearance, the Steel Diver and Star Fox universes are not linked. This is something that Steel Diver: Sub Wars director Takaya Imamura confirmed to Nintendo Life in a recent interview.

He said:

At first, we had some dodgy salesman character acting as a guide, but this turned out to be a bit too shady. Instead we looked for a character that users are more familiar with and gives off a nicer impression, hence we went with Peppy Hare. I’m sorry to say though that there’s no connection to the Star Fox universe.

Game Atelier has pulled the plug on its Kickstarter for Flying Hamster II. The studio is planning a relaunch in the future, which will include “a new approach and lots of improvements”.

Even more notable is that Game Atelier is teaming up with publisher FDG Entertainment to produce the game. Flying Hamster II will initially come to Steam, and “other ports will follow later.” Hopefully that means we’ll still be seeing the title on Nintendo platforms at some point in the future.

Wondering what Pokemon Battle Trozei’s sales are like thus far? If so, you’re in luck – retail shop blog Sinobi provided an estimate for the game’s Japanese performance in a recent tweet.

Sinobi said that March sales seem to be about 30,235 downloads. This accounts for roughly 74 percent of sales, while another 10,600 (give or take) download cards were sold over the counter. Combined, that puts Pokemon Battle Trozei at over 40,000 units.

If you’ve been keeping up with the indie scene over the past few years, then the name “Bob’s Game” should sound familiar. Creator Robert Pelloni hoped to bring the game to the DS as an indie developer, but was ultimately rejected by Nintendo. Pelloni ended up holding a “protest”, took his campaign to Nintendo World, and things ultimately got out of hand before dying down.

Here we are a few years later… and Bob’s Game has returned. Pelloni has created a $10,000 Kickstarter campaign that even includes a Wii U and 3DS stretch goal ($75,000).

You can check out the Kickstarter page here.

The Denpa Men 3 will be launching in North America and Europe on May 8. That’s according to the game’s official Facebook account, which posted the following message:
