Atelier Yumia review

System: Switch
Release date: March 25, 2025
Developer: Gust
Publisher: Koei Tecmo

For over 25 years, the Atelier series has carved out a unique space in the RPG genre, blending alchemy-driven crafting, character-driven narratives, and a laid-back sense of adventure. Since its debut in 1997, the franchise has evolved through multiple generations, refining its various beloved systems while maintaining the core charm that maintains its long-lived fan base. Unlike the high-stakes, world-ending plots of traditional RPGs, Atelier games often focus on personal growth, discovery, and the joy of creation – where gathering ingredients and crafting the perfect item can be just as satisfying as toppling a powerful foe. At times you may do both in quick succession, even.

Palworld Switch 2

Palworld developer Pocketpair appears to be open to a Switch 2 version of the game, despite the company’s ongoing lawsuit with Nintendo / The Pokemon Company.

At GDC 2025 last week, IGN spoke with communications director John ‘Bucky’ Buckley, who was asked about the possibility of a version happening on that console. It sounds like the team is very much open to considering the possibility so long as it’s technically possible. Buckley even said that a Nintendo Switch 1 version would have happened, but “Palworld is a beefy game.”

Guilty Gear Strive Venom DLC release date

Arc System Works just provided the release date for Guilty Gear Strive’s new character DLC, which is for Venom. It will be available tomorrow, March 24.

Venom is a part of Season Pass 4. The character was actually originally planned for release earlier in the year, but Arc System Works ended up pushing things back “in order to secure enough time to provide the best game experience possible to the players”.

Xenoblade Chronicles X how to change character appearance

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is (currently) the only Xenoblade game that lets you design and name your own custom character. There are tons of customization options to choose from, and some of them even let you recreate characters from the numbered Xenoblade titles. That being said, some fans might prefer to go with what’s considered the “canon” name and appearance for their character – in this case, the canon name is Cross and the default options are automatically highlighted when you create your character for the first time. But what if you make a mistake and want to change your character later on? You actually can do this once you clear Chapter 5.
