Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes preview

It always seems to happen the same way: just when I think I’m ready to take a break from playing big, sprawling JRPGs that threatens to suck up every ounce of my free time, along comes a game like Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes that immediately makes me reconsider. After spending the past few years deep in development following an immensely successful Kickstarter campaign in 2020, the turn-based RPG will finally land on Switch next spring and will hopefully help scratch the Suikoden itch that Konami has ignored for over a decade. I was fortunate to have a chance to demo the game in Los Angeles recently, and while I only got to experience a small sliver of the opening chunk of the game, I really enjoyed what bits of the story, combat, and exploration I played.

Crystal Project

Crystal Project launched on PC last year to a strong player reception, and now a Switch version is on the way – and dropping very soon. It’ll be out on January 12, 2024.

The game is a non-linear JRPG in which players “explore the world, find Crystals, and fulfill the prophecy to bring balance to the land of Sequoia.” An official overview with more details can be found below.

Glastrier Spectrier location Pokemon Scarlet Violet Indigo Disk

Glastrier and Spectrier are back in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC, and we have their locations right here.

As with all returning Legendary Pokemon introduced in The Indigo Disk, Glastrier and Spectrier unlock via Snacksworth, a character who appears at the entrance of Blueberry Academy after finishing the main story. Surprisingly enough, neither of these Pokemon are exclusive – you can catch both of them in the same game. To unlock their appearances, you’ll need to clear Blueberry Quests (BBQ’s for short), and every 10 quests you will receive a snack that activates a random Legendary Pokemon. You’ll also receive a vague hint as to where it’s located – but we’ve figured that part out for you.

Sea of Stars sales

Sabotage Studio just announced a new milestone for Sea of Stars, with the game surpassing four million players. That goes for all platforms combined worldwide.

Thierry Boulanger, co-founder of Sabotage Studio and director on Sea of Stars, said the following today regarding the game’s success: “Sea of Stars is the game of my dreams, and seeing its quest resonate so strongly with players and critics means the world to everyone at Sabotage. The team behind this game is the most talented and dedicated group I could have ever hoped to create Sea of Stars with, and I’m again reminded of their brilliance as we progress with creating Sea of Stars’ upcoming DLC, Throes of the Watchmaker. For fans to have recognized our adventure in such an incredibly prosperous year for RPGs alongside new arrivals from the genre’s biggest franchises… we simply just cannot thank you enough for supporting us, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next for Sea of Stars.”
