Drag x Drive trailer

Nintendo is showing off Drag x Drive for a final time with a launch trailer. Starting today, Nintendo Switch 2 owners can get their hands on the game.

July 23: Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV will be out everywhere tomorrow, and to celebrate, new icons have arrived on Switch Online.

Many of you should know the drill by now. All of these icons are available exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online members. It’s 10 Platinum Points per character and 5 Platinum Points each for backgrounds and frames. Once you claim an icon, you keep it forever even if your Nintendo Switch Online subscription ends.

Tekken 8 Switch 2

Could Tekken 8 come to Nintendo Switch 2 at some point in the future? Katsuhiro Harada, the game’s director, isn’t ruling out the possibility.

Harada said in a recent interview that a port is “not totally off the table”. While noting that it could help Bandai Namco reach “a bigger audience,” bringing it over “would require a lot of work”.

Drag x Drive reviews roundup

Just ahead of Nintendo’s launch of Drag x Drive on Switch 2, reviews are now starting to come on. This is the company’s next main release on its new system.

As a reminder, Drag x Drive is a 3-on-3 sports game inspired by wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, wheelchair motocross, and skateboarding. The hook is that players use the Joy-Con 2 controllers like a mouse to control their wheels as they move around the court. If you get a bit tired of the main experience, you can participate in the Circuit Sprint minigame, shooting contests, and Park-wide minigames like Rebound Scramble, jump rope, and more.

Namco is bringing back Aqua Jet for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch this week, the company has announced. Both platforms are getting the game tomorrow, August 14.

Aqua Jet, originally released in 1996, comes from Namco. The jet ski racer will feature multiple save slots, rewind functionality, and more on Nintendo Switch 2.

Chibi-Robo Switch 2 Nintendo Classics

The next GameCube game on Nintendo Switch 2 has now been confirmed, as Chibi-Robo is coming to Nintendo Classics in just a few days. The title launches on August 21, 2025.

Chibi-Robo, which first launched in 2005 (2006 in the west), will be available to Nintendo Switch Online members. Note that you’ll need to be subscribed to the Expansion Pack tier.

Dono's Tale

Dono’s Tale will be appearing on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, Super Item Studios has confirmed. Currently there’s no word on launch timing.

Dono’s Tale, a platformer starring a dinosaur that pays homage to games from the 16 and 32-bit eras, was funded on Kicsktarter a little while back. Well over $10,000 was raised and the funding goal was raised within the campaign’s first 72 hours.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending August 9, 2025 is now available.

Mario Kart World took the overall top spot previously, but is #2 this time around. Donkey Kong Bananza is also showing staying power as it remains in the top five. As far as new releases go, Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game comes in at #8 (split was 81 percent Nintendo Switch, 19 percent PS5) while Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is at #25 (split was 68 percent PS5, 22 percent Switch, and 11 percent Xbox).
