Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound has just come out with its first major update, which is known as “D1”. Nintendo Switch players can access it now.
There are a few significant things included here. Specifically on Nintendo Switch, performance has been boosted, and there’s now an option to target 60 frames per second (which will come in handy for those playing on Switch 2). Elsewhere there’s a CRT filter, fixes, and more.

Konami’s lineup for the 2025 Tokyo Game Show is now available.
The publisher will have its own set of games on hand, including some for Nintendo Switch 2 / Switch. On top of that, it will be showing off a slew of titles from partners.

The latest Cyberpunk 2077 update is here with version 2.31 . Nintendo Switch 2 players should be able to download it soon if it’s not already live.
The update comes with an AutoDrive upgrade and Photo Mode adjustments. On top of that, common issues encountered by players have been addressed.

A new Monster Train 2 “Lost Arsenal” update has been announced, which includes a special benefit for Nintendo Switch 2 players.
The game is getting a new option to unlock the frame rate. While also available on Nintendo Switch 1, it’s mainly targeted at Switch 2 users.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds demo out on Nintendo Switch next week

SEGA is giving Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds fans another chance to try out the game with a newly-announced demo. Nintendo Switch players can download the trial on September 17, 2025.
Note that this is different from the online open beta that was recently held. According to SEGA, the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds demo is single-player only. We’re currently waiting to hear about what specific content will be included.

Mega Malamar revealed for Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Another Mega Evolution reveal has just taken place for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, with the game now confirming Mega Malamar.
We’ve seen a number of other Mega Evolutions as well. Mega Dragonite was the first new one, but since then Mega Victreebel and Mega Hawlucha have also been announced.

September 2025 Nintendo Direct announced

A new Nintendo Direct presentation will take place on Friday, September 12, it’s just been announced. It will air at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe. This will last about 60 minutes, covering games for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.
This will be the first general Nintendo Direct of the Nintendo Switch 2 era. While we did see a broadcast earlier this summer, it was a Partner Showcase focused on third-parties.

SEGA and Atlus unveil TGS 2025 lineup

SEGA and Atlus today unveiled their combined lineup for the 2025 Tokyo Game Show.
On the Nintendo front, we’ll be seeing Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, and Persona 3 Reload. Other titles appearing include Football Manager 26, The Phantom X, and SEGA Football Club Champions 2025. Four unspecified titles have been teased as well.
