Switch eShop

Forever Entertainment, in partnership with UF Games and CreativeForge Games, announced today that Phantom Doctrine is coming to Switch. It’ll arrive sometime within the first half of 2019. Forever Entertainment is handling the port.

Phantom Doctrine tactical “turn-based espionage thriller set at the peak of the Cold War.” More details can be found below, along with a trailer.

The next game in the SEGA Ages series has been dated for Switch. Phantasy Star will launch digitally on October 31, SEGA announced today. It was originally scheduled for release in September.

SEGA Ages – Phantasy Star will have a number of features, including a bestiary, item and magic list, and auto-mapping functionality. The item list displays weapons and armor, what characters can equip them, their stats, any unique attributes, and their prices. Additionally, there’s a music player, which is equipped with a built in FM Sound Unit and includes 19 tracks from both the original version and the FM Sound Unit version.

Sky Force Anniversary

Infinite Dreams brought Sky Force Reloaded to Switch earlier this year. According to a new North American eShop listing, the company will soon be releasing Sky Force Anniversary as well.

Sky Force originally debuted in 2004. The Anniversary version maintains the shoot-’em-up gameplay, but adds 3D graphics and more.

Rebellion hosted a live stream this week in which it showed off a ton of footage from Battlezone: Gold Edition on Switch. Watch the full recording below, which has an hour of footage.

DETUNE has announced that new gadgets are inbound for KORG Gadget on Switch. With the OTORII pack, players will be able to use sounds from SEGA, including OutRun and After Burner. EBINA is repressed by Taito with games such as Darius and Ninja Warriors.

These new gadgets will be offered sometime in early 2019. We’ll bring you more details as DETUNE shares them.

Halloween Forever could be coming to Switch. Recently, it was rated for Nintendo’s console in Brazil. Classifications aren’t always indicative of what a developer is planning, but often suggests that they’re thinking about the idea.

In the platformer Halloween Forever, you’ll play as the the “humanoid pumpkin thing” Pumpkin Man, explore the woods, and vomit candy corn to attack enemies. We have some additional details and a trailer below.

MechaNika

Following up on Agatha Knife, Mango Protocol is readying its next game for Switch. MechaNika, which was confirmed for the eShop back during the summer, now has a proper release date of November 8.

MechaNika promises “a whole new darkly sarcastic adventure with fascinating characters, each with their own twisted story, many puzzles with different ways to be solved, and more stunning hand-drawn visuals.” We have a few additional details and a trailer below.

Croixleur Sigma

Croixleur Sigma is due out on the Switch eShop – at least in Japan – starting next week. Watch a new trailer for the game below.

Ubisoft and Blue Mammoth Games are putting Brawlhalla on Switch on November 6. But if you’d like to give it a try early, that might be possible. That’s because fans now have the chance to register for early access.

Those who are selected will receive a follow-up email sometime after registering. Everything earned will carry over to the final release.
