Catastronauts

Inertia Game Studios has announced Catastronauts, “a colorful and chaotic interstellar party game”. It’s heading to Switch in late 2018.

Catastronauts is a fast-paced multiplayer action game with support for up to four players. The primary goal is to work with a crew to defend Space Fleet.

Inertia Game Studios will be present with its new project at EGX Rezzed at the Tobacco Dock London between April 13 and April 15. We have further details about Catastronauts below, along with the debut trailer.

Double Cross

13AM Games, the developer behind Runbow, has unveiled its next project. Double Cross is coming to Switch this summer, the studio announced today.

Double Cross is an action-adventure game with plenty of platforming. You’ll play as Zahra, an agent of the dimension peacekeepers RIFT (otherwise known as Regulators of Interdimensional Frontiers and Technology). After RIFT is attacked, players will be involved in a new case as they travel across dimensions. The game has unlockable gear, a “Proton Slinger” mechanic that offers a diversity of movement in levels and the ability to grab and throw objects and enemies, upgradeable attacks and combos, and more.

If you’re at PAX East 2018 this week, you can try out Double Cross out for the first time. We have the first full details and trailer below.

Nintendo (and the console industry in general) doesn’t have a huge market presence in South Korea, but they are nonetheless selling their products there. The Nintendo Switch launched there last December and sold well in its first weeks on the market. This was despite the fact that a key component of the system wasn’t available – the eShop.

Today, that changed as the Switch eShop is now available in South Korea. It can be accessed directly from the Switch, and there’s also a website version located here where you can buy codes which you can then redeem on your Switch.

Dragon Marked For Death

Dragon Marked for Death was announced for Switch last August. After it was initially lined up to launch this past winter, Inti Creates delayed the title to sometime in 2018.

Dragon Marked for Death is finally back in the news, as Inti Creates has confirmed its appearance for PAX East 2018. Indeed: those who are attending the expo will be able to try out the game. Gal*Gun 2 will also have a playable demo on Switch at PAX.

For those who missed the original announcement, Dragon Marked for Death is a dark fantasy style action RPG. Though you can play it alone, it also supports up to four users online and locally. Many prominent staff members from the Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX series are working on the project.
