Eastward

It’s been quite some time since we last heard about Eastward. Chucklefish and Pixpil announced the project for Switch a couple of years ago, but news since then has been mostly nonexistent.

Eastward was last planned for 2020 on Switch, but we now have a release window of 2021 – so hopefully we’ll be seeing it before the end of the year. We also have a new gameplay video shared by IGN below.

Picross S: Genesis & Master System Edition

Picross S: Genesis & Master System Edition is almost here. The puzzle title, which was revealed for Switch just over a year ago, is now confirmed to be releasing next week.

Ankora: Lost Days

Chibig, the studio behind Deiland and Summer in Mara, today announced Ankora: Lost Days. The survival exploration adventure game is planned for a 2022 launch on Switch.

Super Mario Bros. 3

As part of today’s Nintendo Switch Online update, no new NES games were added. However, Nintendo did update the app with a new SP version.

Players can now try out a version of Super Mario Bros. 3 that sets the action at World 8. Eight different power-ups have also been included.

Ayo the Clown

2D platformer Ayo the Clown arrives on Switch today, and Cloud M1 has shared a launch trailer to celebrate. Check it out with the video below.

Hamster is bringing Nova 2001 to Switch this week as the system’s latest Arcade Archives game, the company has confirmed. A worldwide release is planned for July 29.

Nova 2001 originally released in 1984 by Universal. It’s a horizontal shooter in which the player controls a ship that can shoot enemies in 8 directions.

Arcade Archives Nova 2001 will cost $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29 on the Switch eShop.

The top-down magical shooter Trigger Witch has received a gameplay feature of its first 25 minutes. This gameplay includes the opening of the game, some of its story events, and a ton of combat – so check out the full video below.
