NIS America will release Psikyo Shooting Stars Alpha and Psikyo Shooting Stars Bravo for Switch in early 2020, the company announced today. They’ll be sold as two separate collections containing six titles each.

A new filing has appeared in the FCC database for a wireless SNES controller, which has fans speculating about what Nintendo has planned for the future.
Unfortunately, the application is lacking in important details. However, we do know that the device ID is BKE HAC-042. This is notable since it indicates compatibility with Switch. All other wireless game devices for Switch have come with the “HAC” prefix as part of their FCC IDs.
Assuming the filing represents an actual product Nintendo has planned, perhaps we’ll be seeing SNES games on Switch in some fashion.

Spirit Hunter: NG launches October 10 in North America

Amazon Germany has added in a new listing for Asterix & Obelix XXL 3: The Crystal Menhir. It has revealed a new collector’s edition, first screenshots, and even a possible release date.
The European collector’s edition will include a couple of goodies aside from the game. Buyers will receive a 15 centimeters-tall figurine of Obelix and Dogmatix as well as two smaller figurines of Asterix and Obelix.
Astral Chain director thinks the game may have been influenced by his love of Pokemon

Nintendo and PlatinumGames are gearing up for this month’s launch of Astral Chain. As part of that, director Takahisa Taura has started sharing insights on the creation of the action game.
Today’s note is particularly noteworthy. Taura said that he great up playing Pokemon and is fond of the series, so he thinks “the idea of calling on another character to fight alongside” could have been influenced by the hugely popular monster-catching series.

Minecraft’s Super Duper pack has been cancelled

Minecraft’s Super Duper pack is no longer happening. In a blog post today, Mojang announced that the team is ceasing development and it has been scrapped.
Mojang said that the new visual style “proved too technically demanding to implement as planned.” Further mentioned is that the studio isn’t “happy with how the pack performed across devices.” However, Mojang is “looking into other ways for you to experience Minecraft with a new look.”

Songbird Symphony will have a physical release, publisher PQube has announced. It’ll be out on November 5 in North America, though Europe will have the game significantly earlier on September 20.
