Dromble published a fantastic interview with Dan Adelman today. Adelman worked at Nintendo of America for several years and ended up leading the company’s indie efforts, though he departed last year.

Dromble’s interview touches on several topics – third-parties, culture at Nintendo, demos, eShop quality control, and the Virtual Console. You can find excerpts below, and the full discussion here.

Two new games will be available on the Japanese Wii U Virtual Console next week. They are as follows:

Ufouria: The Saga (Famicom, 514 yen)
Last Bible III (Super Famicom, 823 yen)

The games above are hitting the Japanese eShop on January 28.

Donkey Kong Country Returns is the next Wii game for the Wii U eShop following Super Mario Galaxy 2 – at least in Europe and Japan. Now that it’s out in the latter territory, we can share the game’s file size. Donkey Kong Country Returns takes up 3,565MB of space.

Ninja Pig Studios’ next Wii U game, Jumpy Cat, was slated for the North American Wii U eShop this Thursday. But in light of accusations that the game includes artwork taken from a tutorial featured on Photon Storm’s blog, the game’s launch could be either postponed or cancelled.

The situation started when Photon Storm’s Richard Davey posted a message on Twitter in which he petitioned Nintendo of America to halt Jumpy Cat’s release.

Ninja Pig Studios’ Jordan Schuetz responded soon after, though the situation was not settled.

Davey seems to have taken issue with the fact that images from Photon Storm’s tutorial can only be used in projects that are entirely free. Ninja Pig Studios would have asked consumers for 99 cents with its Jumpy Cat title.

Nintendo’s official page for Jumpy Cat has been pulled. The game’s current status is unclear.
