Nintendo Switch 2 Bluetooth

Switch 2 is making a number of improvements across the board compared to its predecessor, and Nintendo has said that one way this is happening is with Bluetooth connectivity.

During a roundtable interview, hardware design lead Tetsuya Sasaki confirmed that there will be improvements. It seems this is possible thanks to a larger antenna as well as an increase in the number of antennas. Ultimately consumers can expect better Bluetooth connectivity for the Joy-Con 2 controllers and other devices.

Sasaki’s full words on the subject:

If you still plan on holding onto your Nintendo Switch 1 products, you might be interested to know that its controllers will be fully compatible with Switch 2, including with its exclusive games.

The Big N shared that news on its website. A note on one page states: “Nintendo Switch controllers can be used wirelessly and are also compatible with Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games, but cannot be used if the games requires features unique to Joy-Con 2, such as mouse controls.”

Zelda Breath of the Wild Switch 2 vs Switch 1 comparison

During today’s Nintendo Treehouse: Live event, official footage was shown that offered a graphics comparison for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Switch 2 vs. Switch 1.

This is one of the upcoming titles that will have extra bells and whistles on the new console. Aside from an improved resolution, the action is now at 60 frames per second rather than 30. That results in an experience that’s booth smoother and clearer. Especially with the comparison, that’s especially evident. Loading is significant improved as well.

Nintendo Switch 2’s brand new mouse mode will work well on your pants, according to the system’s producer.

During a press conference recently, Kouichi Kawamoto spoke about the new feature. He went as far as to say that for some members of the Drag x Drive development team, they preferred playing the game that way.

When asked about how the new mouse functionality for Nintendo Switch 2 came about, Kawamoto had this to say:

A new wave of Mario Kart World details have surfaced following hands-on previews. We get to learn a bit more about costumes, what’s new and changed for items, and more.
