Publishers determine Wii U demo play limits
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Podcast Stories, Wii U, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
As is the case with the 3DS, Wii U demos from the eShop come with play limits. You can only boot up a demo a certain amount of times before it becomes inoperable.
According to a Nintendo representative, publishers determine how long demos remain on the eShop and how many times they can be played.
“Each publisher has the opportunity to decide how long demos will stay on the eShop, and how many times consumers can play them before they expire.”
When content expires, you’ll receive the following message when trying to start the demo:
“This demo can no longer be used. View information about the full version in the Nintendo eShop?”
If you select yes, you’ll be taken to the game’s eShop page.

Cloudberry Kingdom is still without a final release date, but it has received a new launch month. Wii U owners can expect the game to hit the eShop in March.
Alongside Cloudberry Kingdom, Pwnee Studios is working on a brand new project.
The studio teased:
“In the meantime we are already under way developing a new game! No title yet, but concept art and game-play is being designed as we speak, and we will be launching a Kickstarter campaign very soon to help fund our development.”
Might this new title land on Wii U as well?
Toki Tori 2 delayed to early 2013
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Toki Tori 2 won’t be making its intended December 20 release date. Developer Two Tribes wrote on its website that it believes it “would do you a disservice to you if we release it in its current form.”
The developer is currently working on Toki Tori 2’s “weak spots, in all categories ranging from gameplay to graphics to technology.”
A final release date hasn’t been set, but Two Tribes hopes to have its first Wii U eShop game ready for early 2013.
