Back when I reviewed Super Mario Party Jamboree last year, I called it “biggest and best Mario Party game that Nintendo has made in a very long time. Beyond that, it’s probably my personal favorite in the series; whenever I have friends or family over and we decide to boot up a party game, there’s a very good chance Jamboree will be in the rotation. I was very open to the idea of an enhanced version of the game for the Switch 2, and one that takes advantage of the console’s new features such as mouse controls and the Nintendo Switch 2 Camera with some fresh modes and minigames. Unfortunately, an upgrade that should have been a slam dunk doesn’t bring enough new content or features to justify its own existence as a paid upgrade.

Almost three years after their original release, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have received a performance patch on Nintendo Switch 2. Today, we’re talking all about its improvements.

It’s no secret that things haven’t exactly been smooth sailing for the Pokemon series on Nintendo Switch. The release of Pokemon Sword and Shield saw one of the franchise’s biggest controversies yet – for the first time, a majority of Pokemon were cut and made completely unavailable in the game. That would be somewhat understandable on its own, but the developers went on to explain that those Pokemon were cut so the team could focus on “high-quality animations”. That statement sort of led more “dedicated” Pokemon fans to view the games with increased scrutiny, and the series hasn’t had the same reception since. When Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launched on Nintendo Switch 2, players did notice that the games were ambitious with their new open world – but its implementation drew criticism, and of course the games’ subpar performance and low visual quality were noted as well.

A new Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact trailer has dropped showing off the game’s season pass. The video was just shown off at EVO 2025.

Pito – or Neferpitou – was previously announced as DLC. Silhouettes for the remaining three characters have now been shared. It seems that the rest of the lineup is Phinx, Shizuku, and Zeno. They should all be officially announced and shown off later – as of now we don’t have specific release dates for any of the characters.

THQ Nordic has kicked off its latest Nintendo Switch eShop sale for August 2025 with a few games at their lowest prices ever, including Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. All told you can save on a dozen different tiles with Battle Chasers: Nightwar and Gothic Classic as other highlights.

Few anime series have ignited the pop culture scene quite like Demon Slayer. With its emotionally charged battle arcs, breathtaking animation, and unforgettable characters, it’s no wonder the franchise has become such a multimedia powerhouse. Now, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 arrives on Nintendo Switch, bringing the next chapter of Tanjiro Kamado’s journey to handheld and hybrid players alike.

Limited Run Games is working on a physical release for Operation Night Strikers on Nintendo Switch, the company has announced.

This will be offered as part of Strikers Edition, which includes a fanbook, Taito Sound Bullets soundtrack CD, poster, reversible titlesheet, and special box. Different colored gun peripherals will also be sold.

Here’s an overview of the collection itself:

May 11: SEGA is bringing Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. to Nintendo Switch 2, the company just announced. A release window was not provided.

According to SEGA, “Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. takes the gameplay of Virtua Fighter 5 and raises it to new levels”. It features additional content, rollback netcode support, and more. Cross-play will be supported across all platforms.

Reanimal has been delayed on all platforms – including Nintendo Switch 2 – though THQ Nordic and Tarsier are softening the blow with news about a collector’s edition and a new trailer.

Last we heard, the project was planned for this year. Now we’ll be seeing it in Q1 2026 instead – a final date will be provided later.

We have a look at the collector’s edition above. It comes with the game, season pass and pre-order DLC, art book, exclusive box, PVC statue “Pig”, PVC mini statue “Bucket”, stickers, keychain, and a map poster. Pre-orders are live for the collector’s edition as well as a deluxe edition here.
