This week’s GameStop ad has gone live. Assassin’s Creed III will be available for $29.99 while ZombiU is being slashed to $39.99 starting on Wednesday… and that’s pretty much it.

Warner Bros. officially announced LEGO Friends today, though the game’s existence was first known through an Amazon retail listing. It’s heading to the 3DS and DS this fall.

LEGO Friends takes place in Heartlake City, where users “have complete freedom to express their unique style, explore areas and activities that interest them most, such as perfecting a dance routine in the studio, taking a few shots on goal at football practice, or visiting the store to get cool items to customize their character, as they build friendships with their five new friends.”

Friends’ core is, unsurprisingly, friendship building; players grow their friendship levels with different characters by meeting and experiencing “special adventures”. You’ll be able to partake in a Heartlake Celebration once the “true friend” status is reached with all characters.

Players can additionally look forward to interacting with pets by training and grooming them and entering pet shows. Every pet has its own unique skill that can be used throughout the game. It’s also possible to play LEGO Friends from the animal’s perspective.

Developers TT Games and Hellbent Games also plan on using the in-game camera “for fun photo ops to create a scrapbook of friendship memories.”

Ubisoft says it is working on a ZombiU prototype. That’s according to creative director Jean-Philippe Caro, who contributed to the original Wii U game.

Caro tweeted over the weekend:

While a prototype may be in the works, it doesn’t necessarily guarantee a sequel. Prototypes can come and go, but unless the higher-ups at Ubisoft give the green light, it won’t enter development.

Could there be a bit of hope for WWE 2K14 on at least one Nintendo platform after all?

At the moment, the upcoming wrestling game has only been confirmed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. But Take-Two Interactive’s earnings release notes states that WWE 2K14 will be published “across all major platforms and distribution channels.” Surely the Wii U (or Wii) is a major platform…right?

Should WWE 2K14 come to a Nintendo platform, you can expect it to arrive on October 29.

D3Publisher has officially announced three new video games: “Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW!”, “Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby In 8-Bit Land”, and “Ben 10 Omniverse 2”. The latter two titles had been leaked through GameFly listings yesterday.

Like last year’s Adventure Time release, “Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW!” is once again being made by WayForward, and creator Pendleton Ward is on board. The game is set for release this fall on the Wii U, 3DS, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

D3Publishers shared the following details in its announcement today:

Four Brand-New Pokémon, the New Region, and Official Package Art Revealed for the First Time

LONDON, UK —May 14, 2013— When Pokémon fans begin their thrilling 3D adventure in Pokémon X or Pokémon Y this October, they will be transported into an entirely new region called Kalos. A mysterious place that is shaped like a star, Kalos is a region where players will encounter beautiful forests, thriving cities, and many never-before-seen Pokémon. The central city of this breathtaking region is Lumiose City, a metropolis featuring a tower that is set to become an iconic structure in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

While exploring the Kalos region, Trainers will encounter many new Pokémon that they can battle, catch, and add to their Pokédex. A Trainer is only as good as the Pokémon he or she befriends. Seven new Pokémon debuting in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y were introduced earlier this year—and today, four additional Pokémon are being revealed for the first time. These Pokémon add to the more than 640 Pokémon that have been encountered in previous games.

edit: An incredibly close race has ensued! Only one vote separates the current leader from the second place contender!

So there you go. We conquered Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for our first ever NintendoEverything Book Club, and now it’s time to start thinking ahead! We won’t be playing the next game until next weekend (and we won’t be discussing it until two weeks from now) but today we need to get the voting part out of the way!

You’ve got six games to choose from this time around, all of which are hand-picked to suit a shorter play session compared to the 20-odd hour Mario RPG since we want to wrap up Book Club #2 by the time E3 rolls around. Your options are as follows:

Mole Mania (GB/3DS VC) follows a mole named “Muddy Mole” whose wife and children have been stolen by the farmer, Jinbe. Muddy has to go find his wife and children by finding his way through puzzle based worlds. Cost: $3.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES/Wii VC) is a run and gun video game developed by LucasArts and originally published by Konami for the Super Nintendo and Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis consoles in 1993. The object of the game is for one or two players to take control of protagonists Zeke and Julie to rescue the titular neighbors from monsters often seen in horror movies. Cost: $8.

ActRaiser (SNES/Wii VC) is a 1990 Super Nintendo Entertainment System action and city-building simulation game developed by Quintet and published by Enix (now Square Enix) that combines traditional side-scrolling platforming with urban planning god game sections. Cost: $8.

Pokémon Snap (N64/Wii VC) is a first-person rail shooter and simulation video game developed by HAL Laboratory with Pax Softnica and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 video game console. The objective of the game is to take pictures of Pokémon, using items such as apples and “pester balls” to achieve better shots. After each round, players are judged based on the quality of their screenshots. Cost: $10

Luigi’s Mansion (GCN) is an action-adventure game published by Nintendo for the GameCube. The game takes place in a haunted mansion when Luigi wins a contest that he never entered. He told his brother to meet him there to celebrate his victory. Luigi is searching for his brother Mario, who came to the mansion earlier, but went missing. Cost: $50+

The Starship Damrey (3DS eShop) is a mystery and survival horror game designed by Kazuya Asano and Takemaru Abiko. The game throws players into a suspenseful environment with no tutorials or hints to guide them. Cost: Probably ~$10.

I really hope on not the only one out there with an extreme love for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. The more open world platformers in the world, the better the better off we are I say! Enjoy this latest episode of Eggbusters.
