Well goodness, Platinum Games sure has opinions! This one is about Capcom specifically, and it comes from everyone’s favorite guy who has opinions, Hideki Kamiya…
“I heard there were a huge amount of people working on [Capcom’s] Devil May Cry 4, just an enormous amount of people. Didn’t help them, did it? The point is Capcom has the resources to employ 600 people, so good luck to them.”
A little passive aggressive, eh? Though, he may have a point given the potentially-terrible Resident Evil 6 that’s on its way out later this year. Around 600 people worked on the game according to CVG, and if the demo/early impressions are any indication, it’s not going to be too great.

Nintendo’s latest 3DS update wasn’t so simple after all. It may very well have improved the stability of the system, but there are reports floating around that the new firmware takes down practically every flashcard.
The news comes from manufacturer SuperCard, who says that once the update is applied, flashcard makers are unable to update their device’s software. This makes it much more difficult to bypass Nintendo’s security implementations, and product distributors would need to introduce brand new hardware just to bypass the measures embedded into the 3DS.
The Wii U eShop can’t be too different from what’s offered on the 3DS store, but Nintendo still hasn’t said much about it.
As the wait for actual information continues, Trine 2: Director’s Cut producer Lauri Hyvärinen says that the eShop “sounds very promising.”
“Nintendo is taking online very seriously with Wii U. Everything we have seen and heard about the Wii U eShop sounds very promising.”
Hyvärinen also discussed his hopes for the digital store. So long as it isn’t expensive to update titles and the certification process is easy, he’ll be happy.
“Our hopes as developers are quite simple: inexpensive updating and easy certification process. That’s really it. If the Wii U eShop can deliver either one of these, or even both, then we will be very happy!”
