We’ve never seen a true, mainline 3D Pokemon game on a Nintendo console. Maybe we never will.
And that’s where environment artist Evan Liaw comes in. Liaw, who previously worked on Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad, has recreated one area from the series in a modern-looking 3D world. Liaw made a number of Pokemon Center images, all of which are rendered in UDK.

Thanks to the 3DS eShop, a few of the remaining January “Nintendo Download” releases have been confirmed. A couple of titles are due out next week thus far, while another game has been given a January 24 date.
