Hopefully this game will be made available on the North American/European eShops soon…

Ubisoft hasn’t said too much about the 3DS version of Rayman Origins. Apparently, though, it’ll be just like the Wii title. Ubisoft’s Gabrielle Shrager explained in an interview that “the content is roughly the same” in both versions.

“We designed all versions of the game to allow you to experience the full game no matter the platform. The experience of playing on the Wii and the 3DS is obviously quite different, but the content is roughly the same. Same worlds, same structure, same challenges, same levels, same enemies, optimised for the system. Rayman Origins is really well-suited to the 3DS display, due to our 2D ‘layered’ approach to the environments; it’s very immersive.”

In some ways I’m more interested in the 3DS edition. I’m very interested to see how the 3D looks in that version…

As you can probably tell, these aren’t screenshots. They’re more like… concept images. Still, it can help gamers get a sense of what Keiji Inafune’s new title is about.

If you missed the trailer from earlier today, you can find it here. Also, the first details can be found here.
