Happy Holidays, Nintendo Everything readers! We wish you all the best as we head into the new year.
As you’ve probably noticed, news on the site has been relatively quiet for the past couple of weeks. I expect this to continue into early January because most companies have shut down for the holidays.
2012 will be a very interesting year for Nintendo. The 3DS will have a full year to show us what its capable of, and hopefully that means we’ll be seeing some stellar titles. Wii U is also coming, yet we still don’t know much about the console. That’ll change a few months from now!
I might as well mention a quick site notes here. My email has been down for the past couple of days, so I haven’t been able to receive any news tips or general emails. Working on getting that back up…
Anyways, that’s all for me. Again, have a wonderful holiday weekend!
Update: I realize now that the folks handling ArtePiazza’s Twitter account may have been joking around. Just goes to show how I little I pay attention to April Fools’ Day!
Surely some of you remember Opoona. It was made for Wii a few years ago, and it was developed by ArtePiazza, the company behind the DS Dragon Quest ports.
If I’m remembering correctly, Opoona did not sell well in Japan. I wouldn’t be surprised if it it sold even worse in North America. But despite poor sales and a mixed critical reception, ArtePiazza is apparently working on a sequel.
Now, bear with me here since my understanding of Japanese is on the level of a 2-year-old child.
Someone on Twitter told ArtePiazza that they want Opoona 3DS as a Christmas present. Responding to this, the company seemed to say that this person should wait until April 1. This gives me the impression that some sort of reveal, which could be Opoona 3DS, is coming in a few months. We’ll see what happens!
Aside from the new downloadable games being offered on Club Nintendo, there aren’t a whole lot of rewards that I’ve been interested in. Recently, though, Nintendo added in a poster set for Zelda’s 25th anniversary, and all three items look quite nice. Two of the posters are hand-drawn, and all three are fairly large – they each measure 22” X 28″.
Since supplies are fairly limited, you may want to consider ordering one on Club Nintendo now. Just make sure you have 400 points ready!
