The Wii U will be receiving a separate version of many PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 games in its first year. The game doesn’t have a release date, so, technically, the game could come to Wii U. The question is, is it too late? Insomniac CEO Ted Price hasn’t ruled out the possibility:
“Since we haven’t talked about a release date, I don’t know if it’s too late or not [to bring Overstrike to Wii U as well]. You never know. For now, what we’re talking about though is that Overstrike is going to be out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. … I was surprised (about Wii U). I wasn’t expecting a handheld controller of that size, and I wasn’t expecting a touch screen, so I think all of us saw a lot of opportunity in terms of how we could use that second screen with an HD screen at the same time. All of our designers and anybody on our team, I think their first thought is, ‘How could we use this to enhance our games in some way?’ Since every game is designed differently, there’s always a different opportunity. I don’t think, one size fits all when youre talking about a controller like that. It’s got to fit the game that you’re making. We continue to be surprised by how people are using Move and Kinect and it’s a nice part of one’s toolbox.”
Don’t be fooled: this is not the E3 2011 trailer. There’s a large amount of old footage here, but there are also a number of new scenes mixed in. The opening is definitely new, as are a few seconds after Link nods his head in the middle of the video. Also, there’s some new footage towards the end of the trailer as well, showing what I assume is a Goron!
Pac-Man Party 3D has been getting some attention today due to a listing found on Amazon. But some of you may remember that the game was announced during E3. So, it’s not anything that we haven’t heard about before! Amazon says that it’ll be released on December 27, though Namco Bandai has yet to confirm that date.
The trademarks below were actually registered prior to E3. Right now I wouldn’t make too much of them since trademarks are often obtained just for protection purposes.

I’m not calling this the final boxart just yet. Kid Icarus: Uprising isn’t due out in Europe until next year, so I’m not too sure that the retail art has been prepared yet.
Sometimes I wish that the 3DS’ cameras were’t so… terrible. Even a slightly higher resolution would have been nice!
Capcom has been pretty mum about the reason behind Mega Man Legends 3’s cancellation. On their official blog, it was only stated that “it was not felt that the Mega Man Legends 3 Project met the required criteria”.
A more concrete reason for the game’s cancellation might have something to do with fans. At least, that’s what Capcom Europe has indicated. The company hinted on their Twitter account that the game may have seen a different fate had fans been more active with the project and participated more on dev rooms.
“@kdawg3000 We weren’t asking people to do much but response to dev rooms was cool at best …@kdawg3000 it’s a shame the fans didn’t want to get more involved 🙁 if we saw there was an audience for MML3 people might change minds”
