From sparking instant social fun with friends to putting an interactive twist on family gatherings, Nintendo’s Wii Sports Resort™ and Wii Party™ games are surefire ways to get groups of all ages on their feet and laughing together. Starting April 25, each of these two must-have games for the motion-controlled Wii™ system are now even more accessible at a new suggested retail price of just $39.99. Both games offer hours of multiplayer enjoyment that friends and family members can share together, regardless of their age or prior experience with video games. Once the games get going, everyone wants to join in.
With a dozen resort-themed activities that maintain the wide-ranging appeal of the original Wii Sports™ game, Wii Sports Resort transports players to the tropical paradise of Wuhu Island. While there, every member of the household can get in on fun activities such as golf, basketball, archery, wakeboarding and Swordplay. As they swing the Wii Remote™ Plus controller (or a Wii Remote controller with a Wii MotionPlus™ attachment) like a golf club or wave it like a sword, players can watch their movements precisely replicated on-screen for an immersive, instantly enjoyable experience. Since launching in 2009, Wii Sports Resort has sold more than 10.7 million units in the United States alone.
Originally released in 1994 for the Super NES™ console, Mega Man™ X is widely recognized as a classic of the 16-bit gaming era. Starting this week, Wii™ owners can discover – or rediscover – the game’s timeless platforming fun via the Virtual Console™ service. For a different brand of retro-styled action with a contemporary twist, players can also try out a demo version of BIT.TRIP CORE, now available for download on the WiiWare™ service for zero Wii Points™. Meanwhile, new hand-held game offerings for the Nintendo DSiWare™ service include GO Series Captain Sub, a treasure-seeking underwater adventure that can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere on the portable Nintendo DSi™ system.
– Ceres will begin to look like a beast as you play
– Action component may remind some of Zelda
– Fields have a puzzle element
– Chain a bit similar to the hookshot in Zelda
– Grab enemies with the chain and swing them around
– Move switches with the chain as well
– Ceres must eat the beast meat to cure her curse in spite of the fact that the characters come from a race of non meat eaters
– Ceres may transform too far into beast form if she doesn’t get the needed flesh in time (unclear if this is part of the story or if a time limit is involved)
– Multiple endings
– Make selections as you play
– These selections affect the ending
It’s funny how, just a week ago, you would have been ridiculed if you said that Nintendo’s next console is codenamed “Project Café.” But that’s where we’re at right now. In just four days, a ton of Wii 2 rumors surfaced thanks to just one report from Game Informer. Speculation about the console’s specs, controller, and other features have been “leaked” thanks to anonymous sources. Some reports have looked more valid than others, though the common consensus at the moment seems to be that the system’s controller will feature a screen of its own and may have the ability to stream content.
With that information in mind, fans have created their own concept images of what they believe the Wii 2 will look like. Most of the images above focus only on the controller – which, thus far, is one of the more intriguing aspects about the system. You can check out the complete set of mockup photos in the gallery above.
We brought you the first trailer for MDK2 WiiWare earlier this morning, but now we have a bunch of screenshots and new details thanks to a listing on Nintendo’s site. Check out the first images of the game as well as the new information below.
