SEGA announces Super Monkey Ball series in the third dimension

We’ve seen Wii Remote Plus before, but only on a very small image of the Fling Smash boxart. Now we finally have a higher-quality image of the product.

This information comes directly from Nintendo’s conference…

“Similar to Wii, Nintendo 3DS will have a Virtual Console function to purchase classic software. We are planning to start by making software for Game Boy and Game Boy Color available.” – Satoru Iwata

As you can see, there’s absolutely no mention of Game Boy Advance titles. I suppose it was incorrectly reported and spread like wildfire on the Internet. Still, I think there’s a strong chance that we could see GBA downloads on the 3DS eventually.
