When you first pick up Year Walk, “peaceful” and “serene” are two words that may pop into your head. You find yourself in a quaint, Swedish forest in the winter, with snowflakes falling, the wind gently whispering, and ‘barely there’ atmospheric tones.

The odd sense of warm security you feel in a chilly setting is misplaced, however. Despite the calming, ambiguous way Year Walk opens, your character’s goal to eventually see into the future by partaking in a ‘vision quest’ takes a few disconcerting turns.

What I’m trying to say is that this game is going to rustle your jimmies.

Thanks to IGN, 15 minutes of off-screen Project X Zone 2 footage has come in from TGS 2015. View the new video below.

Year Walk made a splash on iOS and Steam, and now it’s coming to the Wii U today. I give a brief overview of the indie adventure/horror game below.

At the Tokyo Game Show today, Capcom unveiled a new feature for Monster Hunter X. In the game, you’ll be able to play as a Felyne.

This functionality is made possible thanks to a new “Nyanter Mode”. You can gather, explore, and fight monsters just like hunters, but as a Felyne.

Destructoid was recently able to give Project X Zone 2 a spin, and has now shared some hands-on gameplay impressions. While checking the game out, the site was able to chat with series producer Kensuke Tsukanaka.

Tsukanaka stated that the opening animation of Project X Zone 2 will feature every playable hero. Additionally, the video will be just over two minutes of length.

Tsukanaka added:

“We’re aiming to look for new fans with an even bigger cast. We want people to see a new character and ask ‘what game is this from?’ We want them to become even more involved with the industry as a whole.”

In Project X Zone 2, Monolith Soft is giving more effort to the original animation. Fans can count on more artwork than before in and out of combat.

As for how the collaboration between Bandai Namco, Capcom, and SEGA is possible, Tsukanaka mentioned that “all of us have a mutual respect for each other. We’ve also collaborated for years with one another, so it wasn’t too much of a stretch to create this project. The rivalry still exists, but it’s a friendly one.”
