Along with this image, Super Smash Bros. series director Masahiro Sakurai posted the following on Miiverse:

Pic of the day. Never bully Cuccos. Seriously, attacking them is out of the question! This has always been a cardinal rule of The Legend of Zelda series.

We haven’t seen any Cuccos in the Smash Bros. games before, so what purpose will they serve here? Are they items? Assist trophies? New Animal Crossing residents? Way to be cryptic, Sakurai.

Grab your Ferrari (or just a 3DS), because it looks like M2’s next 3D re-imagining of a retro Sega title is the 1986 classic, Out Run. The game’s logo popped up on the Japanese website for their range of 3DS ports, so it looks like more news on the game should be imminent.

We’re still waiting to see if Sega will localise this second wave of 3D classics, but fingers crossed that we’ll get to play these new versions of Fantasy Zone, After Burner II and, of course, Out Run some time in the near future. But until then I’ll be working on my Galaxy Force II high score.

ON THIS EPISODE: Laura tried an interesting new game this week called World of Warcraft, and she’s… on the fence about it to say the least! Jack briefly talks about his experiencing listening to the Zelda: Skyward Sword soundtrack and playing more Wind Waker HD, and Austin primarily talks about a new game: Max Payne 3. He’s less than impressed by it.

PLUS: A sparse news segment means that we talk about Nintendo Downloads and that’s about it, but listener mail fills in with TONS of Zelda-related talk, including a defense of A Link Between Worlds and some more Ocarina of Time vs. Majora’s Mask discussion.

AND: The book club is delayed! Austin and Jack hadn’t the time to finish Zero Escape, so we’re giving them two more weeks to fully complete the game.

This Week’s Podcast Crew: Austin, Jack, and Laura
