ARK Ultimate Survivor Edition delay trailer

Original (10/21): ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition has been delayed again, and the title will now launch in November. We don’t actually have a specific date. Studio Wildcard says it’ll be out on Switch early next month in North America with the European release happening “soon thereafter”.

ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition was originally planned for September. After that, it was moved to October 25. We hopefully won’t be seeing any further delays.

ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition delayed

ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition is seeing a slight delay, according to Studio Wildcard.

When the new version was announced for Switch earlier this year, it was on track for sometime this month. Now, however, Studio Wildcard has delayed it to next month. The good news is that we have an actual, final date of October 25.

ARK Ultimate Survivor Edition first look

ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition was announced back in April, and we now have a first look at the title running on Switch with some new gameplay.

It’s true that ARK: Survival Evolved is already on the console, though it’s not currently in a good state with a poor frame rate, low resolution, long loading times, and more. That prompted Studio Wildcard to team up with Grove Street Games on a completely new version that has redone functionality, graphics, and optimization. Players can also access the Scorched Earth Expansion Pack at launch with subsequent expansions following in two month intervals.

ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition

Studio Wildcard will be releasing ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition on Switch later this year, the developer announced today. It will be available in September 2022.

ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition includes “hundreds of hours of content including ARK: Survival Evolved and all its massive Expansion Packs Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, and Genesis Parts 1 & 2.” The Scorched Earth Expansion Pack will be released at launch with subsequent expansions following in two month intervals. Also planned is a “Young Explorers” Mode – or educational mode – in which players can discover and learn about the prehistoric creatures that inspired the game.
