Taiko no Tatsujin has regularly appeared on dedicated game systems, but it also has various versions in arcades. Yesterday, the new Taiko no Tatsujin: Yellow Version was released in Japan, and it even features a song from Splatoon – specifically Calamari Inkantation from the Squid Sisters.

Nintendo uploaded a new trailer for Mario Sports Superstars today showcasing all of the different sports that are included. Have a look below.

Mario Sports Superstars just came out in Europe on Friday, but 3DS owners in North America will need to wait until March 24 for the game’s release. Until then, you can access the new site here. It’s filled with gameplay details, images, and more.

Mario Sports Superstars has a total of eighteen playable characters. Sixteen are immediately available, while the remaining two can be unlocked. If you’d like to know about the identities of the unlockable characters, head past the break.

Mario Sports Superstars may have launched in Europe yesterday, but it’s still a couple of weeks out in North America. For those interested in the game, you can pre-load the game from the eShop. 6,591 blocks / 823.875 MB of free space is needed to do so.

By pre-loading, you can download most of Mario Sports Superstars’ data prior to release. Then on March 23, you’ll only need a small update to begin playing.

Lots of footage is in showing four sports in Mario Sports Superstars: golf, tennis, baseball, and soccer. Over an hour of gameplay can be viewed below.
