Original (1/19): Rudol Von Stroheim will be joining JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R as the game’s next DLC character, it’s been announced. Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 did not share a release window.
This marks the second DLC character for the game following Risotto Nero. Weather Forecast and Father Pucchi (Final) were also added for free.

Klonoa series director Tsuyoshi Kobayashi has provided new insight into how the franchise came to be. Kobayashi spoke about this in a recent issue of Lost In Cult.
Interestingly, Bandai Namco was originally working on a game that would have been based on a different IP. However, after that didn’t work out, they had to replace the characters. That led the team to hold an internal competition to create a new character that would eventually become Klonoa.

Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 have announced a new version 1.5 update for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle R. This should be out on January 29, 2023.
Support is planned to be added for DLC character Rudol von Stroheim. On top of that, many changes are planned – almost all of which are character adjustments.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series dev on Klonoa 2 remaster challenges

Ryo Ishida, the producer of Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, has spoken about what challenges were involved in remastering Klonoa 2.
The Switch release includes two games. Since the collection used the Wii remake of Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, that game was likely easier to work with. However, Klonoa 2’s last appearance was on PlayStation 2 in 2001.
Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris update (version 2.0.1) released, patch notes

A new version update has been released for Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris, bringing the game up to version 2.0.1. Most notably, this update increases the level cap of player characters and weapons, and adds new costumes, avatar parts, and weapons.
Digimon World: Next Order details Switch frame rate, resolution

Bandai Namco has shared details about the frame rate and resolution for the new Switch version of Digimon World: Next Order. The technical information was posted on the official Japanese website.
Bandai Namco says that the is largely a 60 FPS experience. However, during some of the more intense moments, the frame rate in Digimon World: Next Order may drop to around 30 FPS. This is in comparison to the PS4 version that always runs at 60 FPS.
Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris gains Blooming of Forget-me-not on Switch next week

Bandai Namco has shared a launch trailer for the new – “Bardock – Alone Against Fate” expansion for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. On top of that, we have a tease for the next DLC.
The image above was shown at the very end of the trailer. Based on the silhouette, it seems that we could be going back to the original Dragon Ball series. The silhouette appears to show Goku when he arrived at the 23rd World Tournament.
