During a live stream last night, Ace System Works confirmed that BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will include English dubs. Players will be able to choose between English and Japanese voices.

Arc System Works didn’t elaborate on the English dub. One interesting thing to note though is that Ruby was shown with an English voicing teamed up with Weiss who had Japanese voicing. It’s possible that you’ll be able to specify the voicing for each character.

Arc System Works has shared new information about BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. Two characters are now confirmed as free DLC.

Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long, both from RWBY, will be on the roster. Additionally, they’ll be available at no extra cost.

Arc System Works saw some fan backlash after it was announced that BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle’s roster would be comprised of 20 characters on the base roster, with 20 more as DLC. Blake Belladonna was the first character that had been announced as paid content. Arc System Works has been listening to the feedback, and looks to have changed its mind. While Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long will be free, Arc System Works hasn’t completely clarified the rest of its approach to DLC.

A few minutes of new footage has emerged for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. Get a look at nearly five minutes of gameplay below.

Toshimichi Mori, the current director of Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle had a few words to say in a very short interview.

First, he addressed a gap he was trying to close between eastern and western players. He stated that the game would be for home use only (no arcade release) because he didn’t want Japanese players to have an edge.

He also mentioned something about pricing: The game is being released at a price lower than normal, with half of the character roster as optional paid DLC to make up for it. Not to worry too much, however: He also says that purchasing all DLC is not set to surpass the price of the base game.

Arc System Works has announced a release date for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. In North America, we’ll be getting the game on June 5. It’ll be out in Japan and Asia just slightly earlier on May 31.

Those in Japan will be able to purchase the BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Limited Box. The Switch version will contain:

– Special box with special collaborative illustration by Tochimichi Mori (Arc System Works), Shigenori Soejima (Atlus), Seiichi Yoshihara (French-Bread), and Ein Lee (Rooster Teeth)
– “Additional Character All-in-One Pack” download code
