Dragalia Lost

To coincide with the start of the Kindness and Captivity raid event that kicked off tonight, a new Summon Showcase is now available in-game that introduces some new adventurers, dragons, and wyrmprints within Dragalia Lost.

This summoning focus is set to be live from today until November 14th. The highlighted additions are detailed below.

This information comes from Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa…

Dragalia Lost, a new and original game application developed in collaboration with Cygames, was released on September 27. Initially, distribution was going to be limited to the four regions of Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, but the US was added when the service began for the title.

This title is an original application using completely new IP, and no existing Nintendo IP. Even so, the game attracted lots of consumer interest in the US and the rest of Asia, let alone Japan, even before the service launch, with over 1 million people pre-registering for this title. This confirmed the presence of a certain number of consumers who are keen to play this game, and even though the service launch was only slightly more than one month ago, we have already recorded sales approaching 4 billion yen by now since its service launch on September 27. In the US, the game achieved a high user-review rating of 4.8 stars in the App Store, indicating a positive reception for the game’s content. Summing this up, we think we could state that this has been a steady kick-off as a challenge for creating new IP that has been embraced by consumers around the globe. Going forward, we will be putting our efforts into television commercials and other promotional activities, while also making effective use of events and updates, in order to further expand the ranks of consumers playing this title.

Dragalia Lost has been around (at least in some countries) for roughly a month. How has it done since its release? Based on new data from Sensor Tower, the mobile game seems to be doing very well.

Thus far, Dragalia Lost has generated about $28 million. Roughly $23.5 million of that total stems from player spending in the United States and Japan. Dragalia Lost is Nintendo’s second largest mobile launch in those two countries behind Fire Emblem Heroes.

With tonight’s update hitting Dragalia Lost, a couple of important additions have been made available for players.

First off, a log-in bonus in celebration of the game’s latest software update is available from now until November 6th, netting players a free Tenfold Summon Voucher.

Players will want to take advantage of this, as well as the new Getherwing Double-Recovery Event, which is set to run until November 12th. Fittingly enough, getherwings will recover at twice the clip that they normally do during this period.

A new raid event for the mega-popular mobile game was just announced. Titled Kindness and Captivity, it will run from October 31 to November 12. Here’s the story for the event provided:

Prince! You’ve gotta do something! My friend Melsa needs our help! Her village was raided by those Empire jerks, and the dragon that protects them was captured! Melsa doesn’t deserve this! We have to help her!

“Come on, Melsa! We’re saving your village!”

The second ever event for Dragalia Lost went live earlier today. But the Trick or Treat event is having a number of technical issues as reported by Perfectly Nintendo. Here are the problems they list:

  • Player may be disconnected in Co-op when using the weapon skill of “Jack-o’-Lance” or “Vampire’s Lantern.”
  • The total might of each party is displayed during Co-op of the boss battle “Squash the Pumpking.”
  • Under “Current Effective Facility” at the event’s main screen, it incorrectly says “Strength X% Up!” instead of “Damage X% Up!”
  • The daily battle “Nightly Haunts” is not resetting properly.

There was an additional problem involving stat boosts, but the developer fixed that issue and are investigating the other four.

Nintendo and Cygames have issued an update for Dragalia Lost. Players can now access version 1.0.6, which includes additional features focused on the new event plus various improvements and fixes.

Below are the full patch notes:

Following up the previous Loyalty’s Requiem raid battle event in Dragalia Lost, Cygames has revealed the second event for the mobile RPG.

Celebrating Halloween a bit early, the Trick and Treasure facility event is set to run from tomorrow, October 17th, to October 26nd.

Sensor Tower has a new report on Dragalia Lost, Nintendo and Cygames’ mobile title. The headline here is that it has generated about $16 million in its first two weeks, outperforming Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp’s revenue of $9.8 million during the same timeframe.

Thus far, Japan is leading the way with spending at 69%. The US is next at just 16%. Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau make up the remaining 15%.

As part of an update to Dragalia Lost tonight, the 15th chapter of the mobile game’s original manga Dragalia Life is now live.

The release can be viewed in-game, or on the official website
