Fire Emblem Fates

Data sent out by Media Create today reveals that Fire Emblem Fates sold 303,666 copies in its first week. The game managed to outdo the series’ previous entry, Fire Emblem: Awakening. When Awakening shipped in 2012, it sold 242,600 units in its first few days on the market.

NintenDaan has put together a new video in which the Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition, Fire Emblem 0 (Cipher) TCG starter packs, and New 3DS covers are unboxed. Check it out below.

8-4’s John Ricciardi posted a few photos of the Japanese Fire Emblem Fates special edition on his Twitter account. The cartridge actually comes with both games rather than splitting them up separately. There’s also reversible cover art.

Fire Emblem Fates is now out in Japan and people have started dissecting it for every little detail. If you’re a fan of the series, one thing you’re probably interested in are the character’s stat growth rates, which obviously play a big role in determining how strong a character is. The folks over at Serenes Forest have already compiled the growth rates for all classes and characters , which you need to add together to obtain the full growths for a character in a given class. These links obviously contain spoilers for characters and classes, so click them at your own risk.

If you don’t feel like doing math, head past the break for a handy image of the full growth rates of the majority of characters in their starting class. Again, beware of spoilers.

Check out this video from NintenDomination, which features the first 13 minutes of Fire Emblem Fates in 3D. Obviously, this only works if you watch the video via the browser on your 3DS.

A batch of new 3DS themes were made available in Japan yesterday, but a few more have launched today. There are two based on Fire Emblem Fates and another one featuring Animal Crossing. Pricing for each is set at 200 yen.

Fire Emblem Fates has been officially released in Japan, and that means plenty of footage is starting to come in. You can start by checking out the game’s intro and first 15 minutes below.

Nintendo is selling two versions of Fire Emblem Fates. The Conquest and Birthright versions are heading to retail, though there are also plans for a third story path that will be sold as DLC.

The Japanese Fire Emblem Fates website confirms that this will be made available in July. A specific release date hasn’t been announced, but as it’s only a month away, it shouldn’t be too long before we receive that information.
