Pokemon Scarlet Violet patch Walking Wake and Iron Leaves

The Pokemon Company has announced another update for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, this time specific to the Walking Wake / Iron Leaves Tera Raid Battle event.

Some players who participated ended up receiving an Egg instead of these creatures if their games were still at version 1.1 when the event began. The upcoming patch will address the issue. Additionally, Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet will both be seeing the same Tera Raid Battle run for a second time.

Pokemon Scarlet Violet save file deleted bug

After installing the new version 1.2.0 update, some Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet players have found that their entire save files have been wiped due to a new bug.

According to Kotaku, the issue “seems to have affected a small number of people, but it could theoretically hit anyone.” But what might be most troublesome is that no one is able to pinpoint what’s causing the problem.

Pokemon Scarlet Violet Tera Raid Decidueye

Original (3/5): A new 7-star Tera Raid Battle event is on the way to Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet featuring Decidueye, it’s been announced. The creature’s first appearance was in Pokemon Sun and Moon as the final evolution for Rowlet.

The Decidueye here features the Flying Tera Type and the Mightiest Mark. Like other Tera Raids, you’ll partner with other Trainers to take it down.

Pokemon Scarlet Violet DLC returning Pokemon leak

Thanks to a datamine, the near-complete list of returning Pokemon for the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet DLC has apparently been revealed.

Version 1.2.0 dropped for both games today. Twitter user mattyoukhana_ discovered that instead of stubbing them, Game Freak deleted Pokedex entries for a ton of Pokemon. That’s what gives us the lineup of returning creatures. Some fans may recall that something similar happened with the DLC for Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Here’s the full list:

Pokemon Scarlet Violet Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti

Three more Pokemon have just been revealed for the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, with The Pokemon Company showing off Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. These creatures “are beloved by the people of the village as heroes that protected the land of Kitakami in the past, and stone statues were made in their likeness to express the people’s gratitude.”

The DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet kicks off with The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk. As we previously detailed, The Teal Mask sends you off on a school trip to the land of Kitakami, where a great mountain towers over the land and the people live at its base. The Pokemon Company has teased that you’ll “meet new friends and Pokémon as they unravel the mysteries behind the folktales that have been passed down in this land.” Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti will all be appearing in The Teal Mask, but we don’t have any other specifics.

Here’s a closer look at Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti:

Pokemon Scarlet Violet DLC The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero

There’s more to come for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet in the future, as new DLC for the games is on the way known as The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero. This was just announced during today’s Pokemon Presents presentation.

Two parts for the DLC are planned. The first part, The Teal Mask, launches in Fall 2023. That’ll be followed by The Indigo Disk in Winter 2023.

Pokemon Scarlet Violet Walking Wake Iron Leaves

Two new Paradox Pokemon have just been revealed for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet – specifically Walking Wake and Iron Leaves. They are based on Suicune and Virizion.

These creatures are planned to be featured in a new 5-star Tera Raid Battle event. It’ll be going live not too long after today’s Pokemon Presents presentation, but it will end on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at 23:59 UTC.

Heads up for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet players, as another Mystery distribution in the game is now live and this time both games are offering Carbos. You can grab ten of these in total.

Carbos is a vitamin and it can be quite useful. With each one that’s used, the Pokemon you give it to will have its speed increased.

Pokemon Scarlet Violet Tera Raid Pikachu Pikachu Water

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet have confirmed that their next Tera Raid Battle event will feature Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark. This is being held in celebration of Pokemon Day.

The Pikachu for the event has Water as its Tera Type. The Pokemon Company says “its torrent of attacks make it a formidable foe – it even has the Mightiest Mark to prove it”. You’ll be teaming up with other players to take down the powerful Tera Pokemon.

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company had previously announced that a significant update for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet was scheduled to release in February, providing bug fixes and adding new functionality. While we still don’t know when exactly the update will release this month, patch notes detailing the update’s additions have been released.

The main focus seems to revolve around Pokemon Box management, with the update making several quality-of-life changes to make navigating that menu more comfortable. Beyond that, a sweeping set of bug fixes are coming to Tera Raid Battles, as well as a handful of fixes coming to the general battle system and other elements of the game.

Contrary to last update, no special highlight is given to resolving issues surrounding the game’s performance, although presumably some of the changes made will improve this as well. It should also be noted that further features and bug fixes not listed in these patch notes are set to release with the update, so these aren’t the full list of changes either.
